We wanted to make sure that it's easy to download crafts without needing to leave the game so we have redesigned the main menu and added some new user interfaces to allow browsing the crafts on SimplePlanes.com right from within SimplePlanes VR.
High-def version here.
You can easily check the newest, hottest, and best lists as well as dig into tags. At some point, we will introduce a specially curated VR list so players will know the airplane is optimized for VR. Even if a craft is not specially designed for VR, you can still download it and fly it using the orbit, chase, and fly-by cameras. So many crafts are still a lot of fun to fly in a VR headset even without full VR support.
We've also redesigned other user interfaces for VR so you can easily select your starting location, level, and adjust settings without needing to take off the headset.
(The settings available here are currently for the Steam version. Still working on what settings will be available for the Quest version).
Thanks for reading and have a great weekend!
If you want to know when it’s released, you can wishlist SimplePlanes VR on Steam here.
Me seeing a graphing calculator on the top of the VR craft select menu be like

@jacephysicsboss take a glass fuelslage then set opacity to 1000
@AndrewGarrison can we have like fuselage blocks that light up or glow to make headlight n taillights easier to make
lolwut
@AndrewGarrison k
Hey Andrew, i have a suggestion, i always want to make insignias, but using fuselage blocks don't really fit my taste because the edges are still there, so can you add a feature for body paint like that? Thanks!
Are you guys gonna add side cutouts to fuselages too? I can think of quite a few situations where having a top and side cutout is pretty much crucial.
.
Stuf like the shape of the fuselage on an AN-2, the bit that you'd use that goes from the top of the windows to the top corner of the roof, that will require a bottom cut and a side cut in order not to jave any protrusions in the cabin. And there's no way to get the shape accurate unless you use paneling otherwise.
@AndrewGarrison hey andrew.
My request is that u are adding so many features to the game in next version so yeah can you add the feature that in sp app there if we want to design an airplane we can search there and get the blueprints of the aircraft and we can build our own
Yeah I know there's one already there but it isn't good meanwhile.e we need to take it from the gallery and it is not even that clear and if we need an clear image we can just simply go and search an clear blueprint of the aircraft design by any user and start building
@SkyBoogie1the1oringle SPVR is just for flying around
How would you build stuff or is it not in the game
Is there will have screens?
