On this day,18 years ago the fatal attacks of 9/11 happened. May we never forget those who had lost their lives to save others on that day

    That’s where you’re wrong. People just want to pay their respects, and for some the way to do that is to post about it. So for just this once, let them be.

    I'm not disrespecting them, far from it, but the amount of posts on one event really isn't necessary. I'm going to stop commenting on this topic as D.C.R logic advises.

    You need to cut it out before you really offend some people. Just acknowledge this day for what it is and move on. Don’t disrespect the lives of almost 3,000 people just because more died in other events. This is not the day to remember the Holocaust or any other tragedy. So please, just stop while you’re ahead.

    Provided you forget most of the 19th and 20th centuries, yes.
    I'm not saying we shouldn't remember this, I'm just saying that the community should give more thought to other disasters on their days or anniversaries.

    @TheFantasticTyphoon as you know this is one of the nation's greatest tragedies

    @Awsomur
    True, but there are other events and tragedies that are under-stated. For example the Holocaust where over 12 million people died or the sinking of the RMS Lancastria are almost never posted about on their memorial days/anniversaries. There are other disasters that also need to be remembered.

    Absolutely not. This tragedy cannot be overstated or “over-remembered” if you will.
