Officers and senior commanders from all nations in the alliance gathered just off the coast of NovrdLisch, all attention was on the Deutschland. Some started to question why they were there. Captain Essen came to the bow of the observation ship they were on.
.
“Work on the Deutschland is currently not entirely finished. However the ship is fully operational.” Essen stated.
.
The Captain tapped on the communicator strapped to his forearm. Suddenly a deep humming started, bubbles started forming around the hull of the Deutschland. A faint blue glow could be seen below the Deutschland. The ship started to lift itself out of the water and hovered about 50 meters above the sea. Water was tossed around as the vertical thrusters of the Deutschland lifted the ship with ease.
.
“Gentlemen, I believe the Deutschland has regained her wings.” Essen stated.
.
Everyone had shocked and surprised expressions. The Deutschland flies again. Her spark had been ignited once more. Many started asking the big question. How? The secret has been revealed, the crew of the Deutschland has the solarium. The question is, how do we use it?

@TheFantasticTyphoon
So I've heard.
@CaptainEssen
Ok. We are currently procuring a replacement for the Osprey II, so we won't require them for a while yet.
@TheFantasticTyphoon
Perhaps we can work something out, for now we found the blueprints for the older F-2989 models.
@CaptainEssen
Could I purchase some if you manage to get them into production?
@TheFantasticTyphoon
The F-3000 Trident Fighter is quite the multi-role, When we get access to the resources in space, we can produce more of them.
@CaptainEssen
We send our complements to your air defences, only nine or ten aircraft of the strike force made a successful "attack" on the Deutschland. The defences on your ship are far superior to any we have faced before, including Halcyon's air defences and a Warburg Navy battle group.
@CaptainEssen
Obviously we'll use inert munitions! We'll send in most of our combat types for practice, in three waves.
Medium-Altitude Wave: 10 AC-M47E Libellule stealth fighters and 15 Osprey II strike fighters.
High-Altitude Wave: 4 FF-17-B Falcon drone carriers.
Low-Altitude Wave: 14 Dark Arrow heavy attack aircraft, 6 T-7 Scorpion training aircraft and 3 "cropdusters".
@CaptainEssen I will let you know, thanks.
@TheFantasticTyphoon
If it's dummy munitions and mock dog fights with the Trident Fighters, then yes.
@CaptainEssen
Whilst you are in Saltwater waters do you mind if the SWAF practice mock attacks on the Deutschland?
@Jim1the1Squid
As a side note, if you need help editing articles for the SimplePlanes Weekly or anything like that let me know, I'd be glad to help.

@MTakach
Oi! None of that now. The chief engineer is one of my characters. ;)
Engineering deck commander: all systems good, all thrusters working.
@CaptainEssen
Oh, ok. You can use the heavily-defended airspace over NovrdLisch for trials so the BoC can't attack you.
@Jim1the1Squid
It certainly is progress.
50 meters is better than none!
Great work, comrade!
@TheFantasticTyphoon
Slow down for a minute, we only got about 50 meters. This was a demonstration not a full test. After all the damage she took, we need to make sure that she was put back together properly before we go to space.
Excellent news! I recommend flying to high altitude where the BoC can't reach you. We shall use our Cormorant space-freighters to provide transport to the ground.
