I’ve been thinking back on the progression of this game in the time I’ve been here. That’s 4 years I’ve been playing and posting, and though I’m not innovating amazing designs anymore like a bundle of guns with wings or a literal flying fish, I’m incredibly thankful for the community I’ve been with for so long now. I saw the updates from the addition of weapons for the first time, car parts, helicopter proponents, and now the release of SR2 and it all feels so crazy to me that I could get so invested in such an amazing community for so long.
So for all people reading, new and old members included, as well as the devs, thank you for keeping this site so incredible and welcoming for everyone. I always felt like someone was willing to show support on everything I did and I was glad to pass in on to everyone else (and I hope i’ve done my part too). My first functioning plane is still etched in my memory in design, and I don’t expect to forget it for a long time.
I still have helicopter experiments from when I first started using fuselage and vtol, and cars from before resizable wheels existed. Even old ships from before I knew fully how to use fuselage, and it all just feels so amazing to look back on and see how far this game has developed.
I’ve made 2 pretty successful creations with my time here, both being ships, and the support and willingness of the community to give feedback and criticisms has always amazed me. Everyone has always been so willing to help with tips, creations, custom parts, and so much more and it inspires me so much to just think back on it and see just how incredibly supporting and interactive people in this community can be. In the one instance I faced overly rude behavior, people were there immediately to stop it, and I’m forever thankful for it.
Sorry if it was a bit long, but I felt I needed to show my appreciation for the people and devs responsible for creating such an amazing environment for everyone to join. I hope you all enjoyed my little (not really) speech.
@Elicushman the SP community is a strange thing, but I also am not complaining.
This is not what I expected to chat to turn into, but I’m not complaining @Thelegitpilot13 @randomusername
@randomusername Nope. I find Russian culture truly fascinating (though I’m more of a German guy myself, I’ve been learning it for 3 years)
@randomusername Wut? I never said that. I may not like the Russians in terms of politics, but I do like the people, and especially the music.
@randomusername Ah. Ok.
