Emergency Report, SWS Merlin
Acting on the report of a Short Hartlepool we were despatched to the edge of our territorial waters, 36 miles south of our southern-most island.

Once there we found six armed trawlers flying the Brightneau flag. We ordered them to leave at once. Their reply to this request was to attempt to ram the ship. The aggressor was met by a warning shot from one of our 40mm cannons. The trawlers returned fire, denting our rear superstructure with machine gun fire. We retreated out of their range and opened fire with our 40mm cannons and rocket launcher, destroying four of the vessels.

At this point the remaining two attempted to retreat, but we destroyed one of them with our 5" deck guns. The last trawler surrendered and was boarded by our Black Hawk helicopter.

Report to the Monarch, NovrdLisch Foreign Minister
The seven prisoners are being held in NovrdLisch along with their ship. The response from Brightneau was to send a pair of frigates to the limits of our territorial waters. They are under close surveillance by the SWS Defiant.

Brightneau has reported that the fishermen acted independently and illegally, but that they suspect the SCN of torturing them whilst in custody. It has been agreed that the fishermen and their vessel will be returned unharmed to face prosecution in Brightneau so long as the warships also return to their home country. The exchange will take place between the SWS Euryalus and the RBS Peregrine in international waters.
