News on the Kinoran Space Fleet
Along side the newly repaired Opeus 2, many new ships are joining the Kinoran space fleet. The first of the ships is the Opeus 1X, a Opeus 1 class battleship. It differs from the other Opeus 1’s by focusing on Long range Defense and powerful missiles, it’s designed to escort larger ships and protect support ships from long range attacks. The next ship, unlike most in the fleet, Is not made by Kinoran Drive Yards but made my a fledgling Company called Oberon. Oberon in the past has only made small commercial transport ships but after accepting an offer from the Kinoran government they have designed a powerful artillery cruiser. Oberon’s ship , Limpus, is a relatively weakly armoured ship with a massive Rail gun running down the Center. The last ship to join the fleet is the Hosen class destroyer, a fast and nimble mine layer. The mines it carries are radio silent, as cold as the surrounding space and is painted dark grey to resemble a small rock. The mines are almost undetectable and can disable most ships easily. The mines are not guided but are left to simply drift into enemy ships.

The Opeus 2 has been under going repairs for a year now and is finally ready for service. It has been upgraded heavily and has new advanced technology installed. It just departed from KDY station 7 and in 2 hours it will commence its lunar escape burn to return to earth. Along side the Opeus 2 all other ships in the Kinoran fleet are planned to be upgraded and refitted with better weapons.
