[SPMRP] Mass Retirement and a Blockade Breach

40.2k Typhoon03  5.1 years ago

The Retirement Ceremony

With a new war looming the Osprey II strike fighter has finally been retired from service. It was the primary strike aircraft of the SWAF during many, many conflicts but has at last gotten some rest. Eighty aircraft will remain in service as dedicated air-to-air refuelling aircraft, but their career as a combat aircraft is over.
.
The aircraft were retired in a huge ceremony, with the Conegsreich Republic Cz-12 and SWAF Terminator-E being retired alongside it. At the same time the FA-12 Razorback strike fighters entered service, as did the Leonardo Dart attack helicopters.
.
Both the Razorback and Dart squadrons have trained intensively to become operational for the imminent war. After completing a major exercise with the Navy and Marine Corps the squadrons have embarked on board the SWS Swiftsure and SWS Indefatigable and set off for war, prepared like never before.
.

Blockade Breach!

An unknown Crokorea cruiser broke through the blockade around the country and successfully destroyed a pair of civilian Maywar-flagged cargo ships. The vessel was later destroyed by Dark Arrows flying from the SWS Agamemnon.
.
The Saltwater Carrier Nation is launching strikes against military targets in Crokorea. FA-12 Razorbacks, FF-18-B Herons, Sweepstreak Peregrines, Dark Arrows and cruise missiles will take part in destroying command facilities, naval dockyards, air bases and air defence sites.
.

No, it means that action takes place in space and on Earth.

Ok. We'll maintain our blockade until we can make a decision on the invasion.

Our strikes are complete. Six radar sites have been destroyed, two air bases have been put out of action and three destroyers have been sunk at their moorings. Significant damage was also done to command facilities. Six Crokorean aircraft were shot down for the loss of one Dark Arrow.
