At 06:44 a Merlin AWACS helicopter detected a large number of warships heading towards the Saltwater Navy force off Crokorea. A RSD.1 Nemesis reported that the contact was a force of around ten frigates and destroyers.
.
Six Dark Arrows and ten FA-12 Razorbacks took off and attacked the incoming force, destroying five vessels. Unfortunately a single FA-12 was shot down by a surface-to-air missile.
.
Meanwhile the SWS Eagle and SWS Campbeltown positioned themselves closer to the fleet and opened fire, taking out a further three of the obsolete destroyers.
.
The last two ships retreated, but ran into the SWS Phantom which had just finished inserting special forces into Crokorea. The last pair were destroyed at long range by anti-ship missiles.
.
Then the SWS Merlin radioed in: she was under attack by eight torpedo boats. Six Scorpion-class torpedo boats sped to her rescue, as did four Leonardo Dart attack helicopters. Together they made short work of the small raiding craft, but the SWS Merlin suffered damage to one of her 40mm cannons.
.
After these repeated attacks it was evident that the Crokorean Navy hadn't been as badly damaged as was previously thought. In response a strike of twenty Dark Arrows, twenty-five FA-12 Razorback strike fighters, four FF-17-B Falcons and four FF-18-B Herons, alongside two SB-20 heavy bombers, attacked the dockyards. Enroute a group of eight MiG-21s assaulted the strike package, but all were shot down by the escorting Peregrine fighters.
.
The strikes almost completely destroyed the naval base, its entrance blocked by a destroyer that was sunk by FF-17-Bs as it was coming into port. For good measure the SB-20s, Razorbacks and FF-18-B Herons smashed up airfields and anti-aircraft batteries across the island. No aircraft were lost in the attack.
.
The capital city, Reignorica, was attacked for the first time by Peregrine escorts. They shot up vehicles and buildings across the city.
.
Should the Conegsreich Republic agree to it, an invasion force will hit the beaches within a week. Until then airstrikes will be flown against targets in the country in order to prevent them from strengthening their defences. We ask our allies to contribute to the invasion force as our Bridge-class landing ships cannot deliver enough forces on their own.

@MTakach
The operation will commence tomorrow.
@thefalkenreich
Ok
it will have 5 airbases 3 docks 1 sub base over 300 barracks and 500 ranges for every type of weapon imaginable
ok but when the island is under our control I will convert it into a joint military base called fort freedom
@thefalkenreich
@Parshainaerospace
Good. The Saltwater Marine Corps will capture a bridgehead, then your armies can be brought up and together we can take the island.
yes
@thefalkenreich
Ok, our amphibious forces will have to take a bridgehead first then. I take it the C-45 is STOL?
carriers will release them in helicopters and some c-45s will do some airlifting of more heavy cargos such as tanks (yes, the c-45 is powerful enough to carry up to 60 tons) @TheFantasticTyphoon
@thefalkenreich
Roger. How will your forces get to the landing beaches?
I am sending:
3 aircraft carriers
7 battleships
5 missile crusiers
14 destroyer
30 c-45s
10 ac-45s
30 apaches
20 chinooks
300 NF-18Es
14 SF-04 IIs
30 M621 APCs
50 Lykins Jaguars
30,000 infantry troops
1,000 reserve
500 engineers
100 Secret police
@Parshainaerospace
Oh, ok.
@Parshainaerospace
Fair enough.
@Parshainaerospace
Would you like some Dark Arrows for shipping strikes?
@Parshainaerospace
You will have to run that by MTakach, he is leading this war.
@LeonardoEngineering
First blood for your Dart attack helicopters!
@Parshainaerospace
No, we need to invade to ensure their military doesn't escape to fight an insurgency. We are waiting on MTakach's permission to invade.
@Parshainaerospace
That's good. Franz and I have been launching combined strikes on dockyards, air bases, air defence sites and military barracks, as well as shooting up convoys. However we needed someone to prevent them from replacing these losses.
@Parshainaerospace
Roger. Could you concentrate your air force on attacking their factories and cities?
@Parshainaerospace
My FA-12 Razorbacks have been destroying SAM sites for a week. The last permanent site is due for destruction tonight. The only air defence threat apart from surface ships is from MANPADS. They can easily be suppressed during the landings by escorting attack helicopters.
@Parshainaerospace
I'll deploy the SWS Tireless, SWS Privateer, SWS Voyager and SWS Yarborough to pick them up.
.
We can deliver 70 vehicles directly to the beaches, but we will need to capture a port to offload the twenty vehicles that SWS Voyager can carry. This may not be possible as the only dockyard capable of holding Voyager was blocked when we sunk a destroyer in the entrance.
@methirasoysa123
Right ho! Looking forward to it.
@methirasoysa123
Turboprop would be nice if you can do it, thanks.
@FranzPeterSiegfried
Ok. Have your battle group form up with my ships. We can provide protection against missiles and surface warships. We can launch strikes together.
@methirasoysa123
Grey.
@methirasoysa123
Yes, left.
I'd like a modern look please, like the standard TMTA-22.
