At dawn six FF-18-Bs landed in Markcia, then, after just ten minutes on the ground, took off again. They arrived over Tiger Island at 07:30 and struck the port and command bunkers.

Next two reconnaissance Sweepstreak Peregrines led twenty-five F/A-12 Genesis fighters into Tiger Mafia airspace, striking military installations around the landing area, paving the way for a huge Saltwater-Trislandian-Parshain strike package. Eight Su-27s of the Tiger Mafia managed to get airborne, but they were quickly shot down by the escorting fighters. Four Dark Arrows spotted a pair of cruisers slipping out of the harbour and put them out of action.

After two hours of bombardment cruise missiles flew in from ships offshore and the guns of the battleships and cruisers opened up. The landing ships began to advance.

Somehow many of the defenders were still alive and the troops stormed out of their landing ships straight into heavy machine gun fire. Nonetheless, with the support of Leonardo Darts and SAH-46EX Apaches overhead, the forces advanced across the small island. The fighting was heavy, particularly around the port, and it took all day to capture the island. Although they lacked any modern tanks and no air support the Tiger Mafia fought fanatically, making suicidal assaults on Marine Corps tanks.

By 22:45 all resistance had ceased. Around 800 men had been captured and over 6,000 killed in the weeks of bombardment. At 01:34 the next morning the CRSS Saphire intercepted and captured a Mafia destroyer leaving the area at full speed. On board were many of the Tiger Mafia council, all of whom had committed suicide. At 03:40 a group of holdouts fired five missiles at the SWS Vulcan offshore, scoring one hit on the superstructure and killing 40 men.

The Saltwater Foreign Service Corps has moved in to consolidate the allied position on the island. The captured terrorists have been taken to NovrdLisch on board the SWS Astute and SWS Sussex.
