SimplePlanes Damage physics Update

876 Jordano13  5.0 years ago

This is just a request to Jundroo, saying that it would be cool to have different materials that would break and bend in different ways. Like wood would snap and steel would bend and so on. This would make the game more realistic in the crashes. Maybe 1.9?

Didn't we get a damage update not too long ago? I think we should just get new parts or xml values. Man I love new parts! And I love XML values too! They're free for exploiting at my wish! But stuff like letting weapons work under water as an XML value would be great. New cannon parts wound be great. And stuff like that. Very awesome.

I think they can start with a better catch fire mechanism.
I tested a few days ago and basically it comes to this:

    1. catching fire is random (well damage is also random). You can catch fire at 30 damage or 70, as long as you don't break first
    2. after you're on fire, your fuel leaks at a random speed, if fire stops before your fuel runs out, it will explode; if the fire stops after that block runs out of fuel, the fire will be extinguished and you can keep that part.

also please give us a better way to extinguish fire, other than soaking underwater.

It is called SimplePlanes for a reason, but more vibrant explosions would make sense.
