This time I flew an Aeronca Champion. All was well, until 2/3rds the way in the flight, we were hit by random gusts of wind, sending me into a massive anxiety attack. I didn’t show any noticeable signs, I just kept it to myself. I didn’t scream or anything. My knees were weak, my arms were heavy, volmit in my mouth already, mom’s spaghetti, I was nervous, but on the surface I looked calm and rea... oh god I really need to stop now. Anxiety is common in people with autism. I’m just wondering if it will affect me as a pilot. My instructor said anxiety is normal for your first flight, saying that no one is an ace pilot on their first try (hell, while taxiing down the runway, I was making perfect z’s on the runway). Anyways that’s all I have to share.
Dang. Glad you’re ok.@Armyguy1534
My 3rd flight I was hit by powerful updrafts while in a cessna 172 and I had to struggle to control the plane
