78 years ago today, (dec 7 2019) many American Soldiers & ships and Aircraft were lost due to an Imperial Japanese kamikaze attack on Pearl Harbor. However the submarines and fuel depots were mostly intact, and the aircraft carriers were at sea. After this the battle of midway will take place
In memory of the many Americans lost in the attack
It was a surprise attack but they also sent a warning but the translation took so long it didn’t arrive until after the attack @Thelegitpilot13
When your birthday was
the day before the Attack: Hello, I serve the Emperor
It was actually a surprise attack, not a strictly kamikaze attack. Kamikaze wasn’t made an official doctrine until later in the war.
Ok@Numbers
There still was a lot of kamikaze @Noname918181
ironically, i'm in japan.
Uhh, it wasn't a kamikaze attack
Ummm today’s my birthday

@Thelegitpilot13
Ok
@TheFantasticTyphoon Okay, maybe I should say “worst military attack by a foreign power”
And I mean for a singular attack, not a whole war.
@Thelegitpilot13
What about the Civil War, or the War of Independence, or the War of 1812, or the various conflicts with native tribes?
@TheFantasticTyphoon military, not overall attack. 9/11 doesn’t count since it was a terrorist attack.
@Thelegitpilot13
No, its not the worst attack ever on US soil. It is just the worst in the 20th century.
The worst military attack by a foreign power ever to happen on US soil. Never forget.
