This isn't a boredom post, it's just because he felt like making This
So (a good bit of) you humans have seen the aircraft built by Someone only really known here as "Nerfaddict", and you've probably wondered what their names meant. Well we've managed to find him and and the answers first hand.
the following is a document englishly translated by Nerfaddict himself
E-Series: Stands for Experimental/Electronic, most aircraft in this series tend to be rather high tech for their time.
Aircraft:
E-10: the aircraft that started it all. Its
semi-delta wing and canard design gives a good balance of stability and maneuverability. As for propulsion, It boasts 2 Variable bypass engines that can be individually and manually adjusted for specific weather conditions. Now to weapons: 2 Electromagnetic railguns, 1 ECM, and 1 EMSD (ElectroMagnetic Shockwave Device).
E-15: this aircraft marked the start of technological leaps and bounds. Constructed from mostly type1 carbex giving it high structural strength and a Very low Weight. 2 ion Jets allow for exceptional thrust to efficiency ratio. Its only drawback is it's Very Light on weapons possessing only one repeating laser and no additional mounts.
E-20: considered the Most technologically Advanced aircraft ever made by Nerfaddict. Requires a Flight Module (a capsule-shaped device that can give predetermined flight characteristics) for any flight to take place. There are quite a few variations of said plane:
-SPC
-FRP
-Model 1273
-TradAero
-Teki No Kichi
AS-Series: Stands For Air Superiority. This series has a large Diversity. A normal civilian can even get a demilitarized version for Themselves.
AS-6: A small Fighter. The Use of Common Tech makes it easily to find replacement parts.
AS-6 II: Nerfaddict considers this an improvement over the original. The original "Prometheus" low Bypass Engine has been replaced by the "T.R.S.I Valkerie" Multipurpose Engine allowing for Increased range and Speed. Other than rearranged AeroSurfaces, It is unchanged
AS-7: A turnaround from the 6 in almost every way.
AS-8: A fighter once used by Humans on Earth. It was apparently called the F-22A Raptor (Odd name according to Nerfaddict). After it has been restored and trial tested, a new version was injection molded in Type1 carbex. 2 Ionic scramjets Were in place of the weird Spinny thingies.
AS-8 II: currently in progress. Its smoother shape allow for more efficiency and speed. Apparently modeled on the Oddly named F-22C Raptor II.
AS-9: it was going to be smaller but a size misconception resulted in it being twice projected size.
AS-9 AWACS: Just an AWACS conversion.
D-series: dedicated to unmanned or Autonomous fighters.
D-27: A small unmanned fighter that boasted the best maneuverability for its time.
D-30: A replacement to the 27. Much lighter and maneuverable.
Micro Drone: A swarm fighter, meaning it's not much alone, but an absolute Nightmare in numbers.
Test-Series: Nerfaddict know the consequences of putting you know what.
T-1: Apparently created after Nerfaddict got his Hands on some odd human thing called "Anime"(In this case an anime called "Konosuba"). He says he watched the whole series in one shot and found a particular interest in a character from said series (Only thing he remembers from this character is "EXPLOSION!"). The end result is a plane that can carry twice its weight in Explosives.
M-Series: Stands for Multirole, but Nerfaddict doesn't exactly know what this means. Just behind the E-Series in tech.
M-6: An aircraft That can take off Straight up and then forward.
M-7: Nerfaddict says he spent a week designing this aircraft. He also took inspiration from various other Aircraft.
M-7 NATF: A modified M-7 to conform with the "NATF Challenge".
M-9: Its been 2.5 months in the making. Forged from a single price of type2 carbex. Boasts the Highest maneuverability out of all the aircraft he's designed.
Flying Aircraft carrier: Massive vessels Many Kilometres Across that are designed to transport other aircraft.
Andromeda: An unmanned flying wing roughly 11 km across. Fairly Heavy Weapons boasting 8 ICBMs and 5 Shock cannons below the wings.
Jobaria: the largest aircraft in operation 41.8 km across. Named after some (Inaudible text) animal from earth.
Ascension 1.0: A WIP aircraft that should end up 100 km across.
Ascension 2.0: A perceived design. Same as 1.0, but 10x larger
This clear up a few things. But he wouldn't reveal the Number at the end of each name.
