There's been a lot of concern caused by this post I made a while back on reddit. When I used the word bankrupt in the title, I did not mean that we will file for bankruptcy and hang up our hats. I meant that we will likely not make back all that we put into it.
By the time we release on Steam, we will have put a year's worth of development into the game in the form of free updates. Sales have been steadily dropping since initial launch in 2014, which is normal and all paid games drop in sales over time. It is unlikely we will recoup all of our investment with a Steam release, but that's okay. This is part of the job and we all knew the risks when we started. Don't worry about us, we will keep making games until the last of us croaks.
We are incredibly fortunate that we get to do what we love every day. We just hope to make good enough games to keep our players happy so they stick with us on this adventure.

I've been shoving SP down everybody's throat for going on 10 months now. I advertise it as a must-have for any device. While most have yet to get online, many have purchased.
I've found that some people just don't care to build planes (weird) but everybody and their brother wants to build land/water vehicles. I can guarantee more than twice as many games sold (in my "neighborhood") if SimpleWheels is your next move...

@AndrewGarrison This is a pretty special game, I feel it's under priced for what you get, (I included that in my itunes review) This is like solidworks for beginners and it costs $10. I would gladly pay as much for updates as I did for the entire game. The good lord knows I've spent more on what turned out to be crap. Charge for your work guys. In the old days of PC games this game (with the last update) would be 30-$50 at Babbage's or Funcoland (just showed my age)

Now that SR2 development will be rolling out soon, will it be more like SP building or SR building? Also when SR3 comes out in like 5 years or something, you should call it SR3D and make it SimplePlanes style building, in full 3d like KSP! I saw a huge potential in Jundroo since I bought SR in 2012. I remember that day. Sitting on my bed at my aunts house late at night watching tv at about 2 am when I stumbled open your game. Just make more games like this like a space odyssey game but you build your craft out of blocks like this game idk about everyone else but I'd buy it

I am not sure if you saw the merchandise idea but maybe if you could start with some low cost products us fans would snap them up real quick. Examples tshirts,hats,keychains and such. In the future maybe Puredeaths idea of 3d print models of our own planes big and small for desks to keychains. Would be really cool. Glad to know you guys are not goin anywhere :)
@AndrewGarrison - it is nice of you to address this, and I'm sure you guys roll your eyes at the drama we players create. As I've said before, you've shaped the lives of many young people with this game, but I also understand you need to bang out a game fast after Steam just to keep the lights on. At least you have a dedicated fan base to sell to.
