So the normal speed of my plane is about ~900km/h without afterburners, and 3200km/h with it activated at low altitudes. I tried climbing up to 10,000m which shocked me when i saw that my aircraft is losing so much speed in level flight, at that altitude my plane flies about ~700km/h with afterburners, and ~500km/h without it. Is there something to fix this or is this just a bug for 1.9?
@Noname918181 @ACEPILOT109 I have planes that go 600-700 mph at sea level and 1500+ mph at higher altitudes
@EternalDarkness oh like ejecting at mach 3 in a SR-71 is like ejecting at 372 mph sea-level. I don't remember the exact speed and altitude.
IAS is Indicaded airspeed, and it is very inaccurate on SP. Use TAS, which is True airspeed.
Indicated airspeed is the airspeed your plane is experiencing, and is dependent on altitude, as air density changes with altitude. True airspeed is the resl speed of your plane. GS, Ground speed, is only for land vehicles or for custom ground speed gauges.

I think you went so high there isn't enough air to power the engines.
@mitsuki use tas. It shows the real airspeed. Ias shows the speed related to the ground so the higher you go the less it gets.
Try using tas or groundspeed@mitsuki
@MrPorg137 yes its in IAS
There is less air for engines to breathe up there, decreasing performance of the engines
Less air to push up there. Try making a much more powerful engine, or consider making it a delta wing like a Mirage 2000, F-106, or Eurofighter Typhoon
Was you speed setting set to IAS? (Indicated Air Speed.)
