At this point, when Overload is practically recognized as part of the base game, the fact that the max fuselage size is 10 is just an annoyance. Anyone can edit it beyond 10 using Overload, but the game then actively tries to fight the player's decision and drop it back to 10 on the first opportunity.
The more convinient way to overcome the limit is to just edit the scale of the fuselage itself, which however makes the fuselage edit GUI not line up properly (and also screws up many connection points randomly).
I understand that this limit is in place to prevent newcomers from just typing in garbage and then complaining that their game is slow or glitching, which is why I propose this solution.
Add the option to disable fuselage size restrictions as a console command or some hidden hotkey combination. This way, new people who just want to get the default game experience won't stumble upon it and break their game, while people who know what they're doing can take the risk on themselves.
Even the increase from 5 to 10 as the max value isn't enough for some replicas, and it also makes measuring stuff with fuselages more difficult (e.g. scale alignment for 3D printing).
thank
It appears the floor is made of floor @DPSAircraft
It’s pretty weird that you can’t have an input for beacon parts without using overload
i stan this
@DPSAircraft well duh
@AtlasSP that is exactly what I'm proposing
I also want the fuselage block to be no longer limited to 10, because it will be very tiring if you build something huge.
@DerekSP I like it when I found out people do the same things, it's like how you put the knife half way over the sink when you don't know if you want another sandwich or not. It's like everyone thinks alike.
@Minecraftpoweer exactly what I'm doing, but I think I'd be fine with the tradeoff
Honestly to me the only use of the size restriction of 10 is that i can press 1 2 times (11) so it instantly becomes 10 without me having to move my finger, I'm that lazy
