This would be good because it shows the best planes that were built on the mostly up-to-date game so it's better for people downloading.
X Plane 11 has this on their site and it works really well in my opinion, and there's far less posts on there too. I see no reason why this shouldn't work here too :)

When you select "best of the month" (for example), the url of the site changes and
?d=30is added to it, you can change that to?d=365if you want to see the best of the year.
