• Depends what Hull your making, I guess you’d look at a real boat hull of the ship you’re building and replicate the shape of it. Generally you build the hull first.
• You can add flotation on the sides, or you can add a keel that has a weight on the bottom that keeps your boat upright if that’s realistic. And for how high it floats in the water, if you’re making a larger ship, you can make the stuff under the water not buoyant and have very high buoyancy blocks where the water line is so it floats at the right point. I guess you could probably do that with smaller boats too.
