Access for my 12 year old

28 MaxCapybara1  4.7 years ago

I monitor my son's internet access. Understanding that he isn't old enough to have his own account, how do I get him access to the site with my approval?

Thank you.

Most of you are misunderstanding. My son had an account, which was 12705129, and he was banned for being underage.

@DickBrazen The site does actually have ads as of fairly recently, but they currently only show up for people that aren't logged in.

@DickBrazen The information being collected is just Cookies I believe. The reason underage people are banned is so the government doesn't put Jundroo on a watchlist or something.

@DickBrazen look, this isn't facebook, Jundroo makes their money from selling their games and they get a bit of money for the servers from ads.
lol this is getting better by the comment. Wonder what you'll say next :)

Hey, quick advisory for anyone else who is commenting with what they think is correct, please stop. This is a situation left to be dealt with by Jundroo.

@DickBrazen think you got it wrong, buddy. It's not so they can be a profitable business (????????), it's so they wouldn't collect a person who is under 12 (or 16 in the eu)'s information. Do a minute of research before you open your mouth, makes sure you don't look a bit dumb if you guessed completely wrong.

Hey I made my first account when I was 10 :p I’m 13 now(14 in may) this game is awesome, and I immediately fell in love with it! I encourage you to let your son have his own account!

Or simply wait 1 more year since the minimum age is 13. Give him an account as his 13th birthday gift

Give Jundroo a very good reason why your child must be able to browse around the site at a young age

This can be done and has been done before.
At the bottom of the page, in the black bit, there’s a link that says “contact”. Here you can contact Jundroo and ask for permission to let your son access the sight with approval.
Then, Jundroo will reply at some point, and see what happens I guess.
    I hope this helps. :)

I have 4 sons 10-19. They all enjoy the game on my computer but don't have their own accounts. I would actually love it if played more simpleplanes than GTA.

@MaxCapybara1 It's still illegal regardless of how we came to know about it. That being said, your son has the right to just not answer when asked for his age.

@SupremeDorian Oh, that makes more sense lol

@Brields95 says who? I swear there’s kids my age on Reddit, one specifically on the hub, but I won’t name names. If kids my age are on social media like that, I’d say it’s perfectly acceptable for a 12 year old to be on SimplePlanes, lol

This comunity is to caustic for a 12 year old. He doesn't need an account.

@SupremeDorian my son was asked by a mod his age, does that make it illegal, or not?

@SupremeDorian so basically the child can have an account but they just can’t reveal their age or anything like that. And the child MUST have permission from a parent.

@AWESOMENESS360 No, not really. Note that it says their own consent. If there is explicit permission from a parent saying that they consent to it, it's fine.

@SupremeDorian huh, I guess the parent in this case kinda screwed over their kid by stating their age in this post then.
