When I write this post, I really don't mean to be annoying or anything about this issue. And I have already made a post about this before the 1.9 patch fix. I was thinking that maybe the patch fix would help the aircraft loading issue, but it doesn't seem so. My aircraft has not completely been deleted because I resave the aircraft multiple times in the designer. But if I didn't, my aircraft would be completely gone for an unknown reason. But I decided to investigate and see what might be causing the issue, I have built the body, the primary wings, horizontal stabs, and was just about to finish the vertical stabs when it says, error loading design when I try to load it in the sim. When I remove the rudders of the aircraft, it loads just fine. The only components to the rudder was a rotator edited to yaw and a few xml edits to make it small, and some fuselage inlets to curve the trailing edge of the rudder. But I don't think that the rudder is the main issue all the time, but it was here. Thankfully I didn't lose my plane, but I'm not sure whether this is a bug, or if I'm doing something wrong. And once again, I don't mean to be annoying by posting two posts about the same issue, but I just want to make sure that this problem doesn't go unheard. So thank you if you know what to do or how to help.
Well for me this issue seems to have completely disappeared. Or at least for now. But now my brother (Diloph) has these issues occuring almost all the time. And I have no idea why. There seems to be no answer for it but what can we do about it? Probably nothing. I'm really sorry to hear that man. I had the same thing happen to me a while back.@VeirwenBlitzSP
I just got this problem today, i wasn't affraid that this could happen and i didn't have a backup of the aircraft i was building, i really can't load it anymore and i don't know why.
The last thing i did was connect the wings to the fuselage that was covering it and add some dead weight, i have no idea what i did wrong
Huh, odd. It didn't really do that to me when I downloaded other people's aircraft. And the issue seems to have died down a bit. I've only had the issue happen once or twice recently. But if you're worried about losing a plane your building, my trick is to resave the build during the build process every now and then, but naming it one number higher. For example, when I was building my mosquito, I would build the body and the cockpit of the aircraft and save it as "Mosquito." Then, once I got the wings and engines done, I saved it as "Mosquito 2" and so forth. I had the error occur during the build process when I was almost completely done, but thankfully I re-saved it multiple times.@Tang0five
My iPad does this with some new builds but it’s other peoples builds I’m getting that error message for. For instance chichiwerx’s latest build I can’t run as it keeps showing that message when I download it.
@Hedero
What?@Tang0five
I just want to be able to use the designer suite.....
I also checked the xml properties of the fuselage inlets and everything seems in line. This is definitely one of the weirdest and most annoying issues that I have ever had in SP. I can maybe upload it as unlisted and see whether it happens to other people as well but idk.@Tully2001
Yea that would probably be a good idea.@thecrusader
Well I checked the rotator and nothing seems out of place.@Tully2001
@Hedero i can dm this to wnp78
Oh, I was thinking they knew more about the game mechanics and tech then most other people. But now that I think of it, I should have tagged the devs.@jamesPLANESii
Mods don’t make the game. They only moderate the site @Hedero
