All forms of propulsion

2,629 Makerofplanes  4.7 years ago

I’ve been trying to make a list of all the known forms of propulsion. There are the basic three, but I know there are many others. I’m planning to make one of each propulsion system, so if anyone has something to add, go ahead.
Prop Engines
Jet Engines
VTOL Engines
Brake Propulsion System (see Sn0wflake0S’s page on it)
Missile Propulsion System
Mechanical
Torpedo Propulsion
Cannons
Shakers
Detacher
Car Engines
Piston Propulsion
Gun Propulsion
Custom Engines
Magnets
that’s all I know. Comment down below more and I’ll add it.

So guys I have an announcement to make. As I am not too experienced of a designer I would need help making all of these. Also since a lot of respected designers here I think it would be a good idea. So, all who are interested say. I want to make the first addition of the series by March 23rd. So that’s the deadline. So, with the release I am wondering who would like to help make the PropulsionPick Series. If you are interested I will add your name to the above forum, or in a different one. So, please, tell me if you’d like to join. People who make them get the credit.

That’s not really a form of controlled propulsion as much as an explosion, (no offense)@Natedog120705

I attempted to use magnets for a engine, while it did work it didn’t work very well and probably wouldn’t get a car very far and didn’t work at all on ships or submarines, so I’d say possible if done right, so I think that can be added to that list
And I did one day for grins make a torpedo powered boat
Finally with limited success, I linked some gyros to gears and such and made a poorly working submarine using that

How about explosions? Like, if your craft explodes, it can send the cockpit flying.

But RCNs are technically part of the vtol system bro@spefyjerbf

Feel free to add rotator-based propulsion, piston-based propulsion, and gun-based propulsion, too.
    .
Edit: VTOL RCNS are great propulsion too, especially in a vacuum!
