To make a concave hollow fuselage you simply set the width or height of one of the sides to a negative number, so then you'd end up with an xml that says something like
"FrontScale: -1,1
RearScale: -1,1"
Here's an example of what you can make, each one is just one part
Thanks for posting this, it is exactly what I was looking for!
I've never heard of this.... And if ED hasn't heard of it, idk @Renovator
Curved corners: a set shape not depending on scale of fuselage
Circular corners: does a circle between the middle of the points and completely depends on the width and height of the fuselage
This means when you have a circular corner it behaves normally but with curved corners it splays out
Super useful :D
Even the devs got confused...
That is trippy but will make for a cool logo
It’s already been discovered since v1.6
Hello pheasants how's the-
BY THE POPE
What in the name of heresy
i discovered this by accident when i tried to make a sphere hollow but i find the usage of these parts to be very specific
.
i find regular paneling to be more useful for now
I thi. wha. I need to sit down....
@AndrewGarrison o_o you upvoted my post
I have no idea how this works and at this point, I'm afraid to ask.
I just made a bow tie with this lol
@aplayer Paneling apparently
Do you call THIS concave?
What's the purpose of this concave hollow fuselage?
@TheKraken3 the range of applications is extremely small, but in principle, that's all
@RussianAS Wait wait, you russians already knew it? Why didn't you tell anyone? Why did you stop using it?
What kind of secret simpleplanes technology are you russkis hiding lol
тем временем в российском SimplePlanes обществе такое давно использовали и забросили
Oh yes, cool, yes.
@Baby I don't think so
@BeryllCorp I am not sure, you can try it though
@TheKraken3 that red one looks like a half circle and it would be a nice addition let us say some gun sights.
Is the hitbox concave too? Or is it still square?
So wait... we could make half hollow and half non hollow blocks with this method?
Cool
