The drag improvement

39.7k Olimpus  4.6 years ago

Every time I make a creation and mirror the parts,I find out that the drag isn't symmetric. That means the plane or the ship won't go on the right way.Haven't you got any ideas to prevent this?

    @TrislandianAlliance it isnt a problem for me because I dont scale things right

    Or maybe 1:5 scale, i dont know, my ships (the biggest) is realistically would be around 270m

    @Noname918181 oh dear, i couldnt fit those because my ship were 1:7 in scale, more often than not the detail was too big for the ship scale

    @TrislandianAlliance if i was the builder, there would be more because of AA gun rotators, Secondaries, CIWS, etc.

    @Noname918181 maybe, if per guns lets say 2 barrel turret have 2 rotator to go up and down with stabilization and 1 one for the turning of the guns it will already have 3 rotator, 12 with ABXY configuration not including the rudder system that needs one rotator per rudder

    @TrislandianAlliance it might be laggy because of the number of rotators.

    @Noname918181 i only done that once in my boat and it still lagging..., as for the drag itself the ship were basically the most aerodynamic ship with the inlet fuselage bow

    I usually disable all the drag that isn't on the center on planes. On boats well....I focus the drag on a single part on the center and disable everything else

    @asteroidbook345 I've made SF-26 already and it's a huge work to disable the drag. ╯▂╰

    @edensk That's a good way.But when we made a post already finished and found such question,the work could be huge.

    @AndrewGarrison
    This also bothering me a lot. Planes couldn't go in straight and I found out that it's the drag 's fault.
