You may have heard of the Re-Entry Effects Mod that I have made. It adds heat and particle effects to you craft when they pass a certain speed, and you can change this speed using ModSettings.

I have updated the mod with 2 more parts that work the same way: Condensation Trail and Contrail Effect. Condensation trail is used for wingtip condensation, and contrail effect is for your big jets. For example, you could place ContrailEffect parts on your airliner to get a cool thumbnail for your build. You can adjust the ActivationSpeed of both using ModSettings. Here are some pictures:
