Hi there, thanks for clicking on the post. I made a Main Battle Tank a while back, and one thing that bothered me, even when tinkering with newer variants, is that the tank leans a bit to the left.
I checked all the shocks and none of them seem to be out of the ordinary. I checked the gyroscope and it is perfectly level.
Here’s a link to the tank itself: boop
Any help is greatly appreciated.
@WarshipDude it's necessary
@rexzion That last option tho
@WarshipDude @rexzion took a bit of tinkering and found out that it seemed to be an uneven weight distribution in the hull. I took out the turret and mirrored the hull and turned off collisions for any side-specific details. The tank is now perfectly balanced! Thanks to the both of you!
alright try all of these things
- collision issue: turn off collisions on the parts you think might be causing the leaning
- drag: just make sure it's equal on both sides
- mass: make sure it is directly between the wheels, or in the center
- listen to eurobeat
@Mysweetbologna the most common thing that affect this is drag, you may have drag only on one side, if there is none then you might wanna check the wheel, is it turning the right way, if that still doesn't fix it then i don't know what else...
Why does this happen then? Is it a problem with the game? I’ve never actually experienced this in any vehicle I’ve made: planes, afv’s, boats. It’s only happening with this one for me. @WarshipDude
@Mysweetbologna yes, have you made a plane? Have you noticed that some of your plane may have a chance to lean left or right? That is called autoroll, it has the tendency to roll to one side or in this case it has the tendency to turn to one direction by itself
What’s autoroll? @WarshipDude
Well its none other than autoroll, even small car like pretty much all of my car have this problem which i don't have the time and sanity to fix it
