Jundroo has started a series on youtube where they feature some of the community's greatest builds of the past month. When they did it with the SR2 community I was kinda heartbroken that they didn't make one about simpleplanes, but made one about simpleplanes 3 hours ago, and I cannot be happier.
I feel like this is a great step in the right direction. With everything that has been going on in the community it feels like we have lost some focus on what the community is actually about, its about sharing builds and other people appreciating the enormous amount of effort the builders put in to it. The drama will be omnipresent in a community as big and as diverse as ours, but if we dont loose sight of the main goal, I think the community will be just fine.
Player content feature is a great initiative

Yeah. This is really cool. Having SP on YouTube is always nice.
@JustDatGuy woah. no. this is my mobile user pet peeve. honestly you can through different ways. admittedly they are vastly more complicated but at the end of the day you pay less, you get less. I wish no ill will but even with worse images builds still garner attention, and usually equal to normal builds. the important part is standing out
@Axartar Right, but because we can’t do custom ones, our builds get 0 attention.
@Stratus no.
@SnoWFLakE0s The complain about not having custom thumbnail is very much valid even while paying less. SP isn't a p2w multiplayer game and neither is the community, we already have a lot less amount of features, and no one complains about that. And no one has said anything to Jundroo about returning mod support, but custom screen-shots are a key feature on the website, why should just pc players have it?
and designer suit is already integrated in the game, so they dont have to integrate another new mod for this, they'll just have to rework this one.
And I dont know the exact numbers of profits from platforms but generally speaking ios and android markets are more likely to generate more revenue as they usually sell more units to make up for the lower price.
@asteroidbook345 yeah, what i'm saying is it's not urgent. they just got a huge update with xml
@Jerba
.
Simple of a game??? Not to be too brash, but SP is far from simple at in its current form. The level of depth it offers is simply outstanding. No other game in the genre holds a candle to it.
.
I do find that while mobile builds can be decent, if you'd ask me to choose a build from mobile or PC I'd bet on PC any day. You got any examples of mobile builds that offer the same level of quality as good PC builds?
Please to do not hate me for this... but was the Corsair in there?
Also, they integrated 2 mods into the game for mobile last update or 2 ago, idk. Why not do it again?@SnoWFLakE0s
Yes, we pay less. That’s more or less how mobile works, almost all games are $5 or less, if they sold this simple of a game for the steam price there would be very near 0 people who would buy it. Also, mobile can build great too. It’s just that literally everyone else has custom thumbnails and therefore gets pretty high on the pages, while even the good mobile builds are stuck near the back. Go scrolling back through the pages and tell me what page you find a build without a custom thumbnail. @SnoWFLakE0s
Yes, now i don't need to wait for frantic to upload again :)
@JustDatGuy

Custom thumbnails are a mod. Mobile users don't get to complain about mods.
Did I mention mobile pays less?
I hope they keep doing this!
Calm down! good thumbnails can be takes without the mod @JustDatGuy
But... no mobile builds. Exactly why we need custom thumbnails!
