How do you get A.I. to function in water?

2,016 AerialAerialTheSnake  4.4 years ago

I have been working on an A.I. Mosasaur, but there’s a problem. When I spawn in a watercraft (for example a boat), and I spawn in the mosasaur as aggressive, it won’t chase me, even though it’s fully capable of chasing me. Here are some example photos.

The mosasaur is spawned in as aggressive (btw I did not make the boat in the picture, I’m not that talented), but it doesn’t chase me.

Driving the example boat alongside it doesn’t do anything either.

The A.I. clearly knows I’m here because it’s opening and closing it’s jaws (I modified the jaws to open when it fires a small Gatling gun inside the mosasaur. Also it has no teeth yet), but it makes no attempt to pursue me.

If you look closely inside the left D-pad, you can see one of two small jet engines to control yaw, even though the roll input activates them. However, they are not activating. Land tests proved that they work well out of water, but the moment the A.I. is placed into water, the jet engines don’t work anymore, even though the jet engines are not submerged in the water.
.
I hope you guys can help me with this.

You can’t unless you programmed a new AI, as it’s programmed to fly using only control surfaces rather than control schemes.

Also what is the input for the engines?

I recommend using roll for turn input if you want a ground vehicle to turn

The AI is really bad, its programmed to fly and anything else would just confuse it and it wouldn’t work.
