Ai planes can be spawned anywhere you want, but did u have the problem of weird behaving planes,helis, cars, ships? Maybe there can be a pannel for each plane you build, for what sorts of AI it wil have, like Plane class, Heli class, Car class, Ship class, ETC, ETC. the ai in simpleplanes is starting to get a bit old and realy needs an upgrade.
- Ai paths
ai planes have a sort of A to B path,maybe u can make ai try to avoid incomming hazzards. maybe for each sort of ai there wil be a diffrent path:
heavy plane: doesnt do weird stunts and tries to land at only bigger airports.
light plane: normal ai
Helicopter: holds itself stabile and regulates the propellers pitch for lift, lands on helipads.
race car: races along the racetrack it gets spawned on.
Offroad car: spawns on offroad sections (like bandit to yeager).
small ship: spawns close to shore and stunts around at high speeds. (avoids beaching).
Big ship: spawns in the high seas and travels between island A to island B

@DeltaBravoSix so the question then becomes, if a build inadvertently targets another build for a missile lock, will the second build then begin to target the first build.
By the simple logic of "threat response" it sounds like the most likely scenario.

What I find is humourous is that I've had AI planes dogfighting without me.
I was turning to get a guns solution on an AI and watched another AI swoop down from another direction and go for a guns kill that totalled the plane I was going after.
I'm not sure if the current AI behavior allows for this typically or if it's an automatic response to being attacked (stray bullet triggered the behavior even though it wasn't the intended target).
another question; "would default planes attack aggressive planes?"
Or tasks like fly in formation around you and shoot at what you shoot at or command them to target something that you target and defend you and bomb what ever ground targets you attack
