I've searched through a few forum posts about this, but it seems that nobody has posted much in the way of removing the ugly fog that restricts your view of the horizon. I'd like to know of any possible ways to even slightly reduce it, just so i can properly see and not fly around in a white void with water below me.
just because I can
The way SP fog works is kinda similar to Minecraft fog, and yes, even minecraft player complained about the fog, but its there to hide the ugly terrain or chunks loading, now SP doesn't have chunks but the way it works is of course quite similar, irl you can't see past 10km which is about how far you can see in SP according to my own knowledge of sharp shooting with my ships, i do shot farther than 12km which is like on the very edge of the fog
@CaptainCommunist i know that. But the fog is one with the sky texture, making it impossible to remove
well, the skybox can be changed easily
but fog? fog is an entirely different thing.
in the real world, the ground doesnt just disappear into a white fog after you ascend past a certain altitude
@CaptainCommunist the sky is just one texture I believe (not including stars, clouds, the sun and the moon) so it is not possible
guess i'll have to learn some unity to hack my way into a better game experience
There is no way to remove that
i mean, its a unity game
there HAS to be a way of doing it
I don't think there is a way to do that.
