My twin jet airlifter
Credit to @PoyuToyu for great ideas about design and for working in the nose
This is it. A medium-size cargo transporter. It is not able to carry as much fuel as its rivals C-17 and C-141, but with its efficient high-bypass twin engine it still has a respectable range compared to the quad jets. It is also slightly larger.
Yes, the nose is not done.
Yes, the control surfaces are not done.
Yes, the lights are not done.
The basic design
The plane features a near circular fuselage with slightly square corners in the bottom. The plane has a high-wing, twin engine layout, and the engine in my JE210. Towards the back, there is a cargo ramp and a raised fuselage, which serves as an auxiliary cargo hold. This is done to prevent a tailstrike with the low ground clearance. The T-tail is placed in the rear.
The plane has a peculiar type of landing gear, with 12 bogies of 4 wheels each placed in a tandem layout, with two bogies in each of the 6 wheel wells.
