Late night of August 31. The Akagi and Akio were passing by Leasath coast. They were beginning a night-time convoy strike. The Anima, Schnee, Constrictor, and Griffon squadrons were on patrol protecting the carrier from aerial attacks. So the strike was to be carried out by R.A.E, W-heavy, and V.A.C squadrons from nearby airbases and carriers. The new A-14 Thundercats from Miku Squadron will be taking part in the operation to test their effectiveness. At midnight, the Strike team took off from the JS Akio. Flying low over the sea to avoid radar detection, they made it to a coastal island near the bay of Leasath.
The planes went into a single line formation as they flew low over the island. Neko squadron, consisting of the V.A.C mark 3 strike aircraft, would attack first by making a screen of fire with a rocket barrage. They entered into the canyon silently.
After 3 minutes of close flying, the convoy was detected by ground radar. Flying over a hill, they launched their rockets as soon as they were on target.
The Anti-air tanks came online and unleashed their firepower into the sky. The second strike encountered the heavy anti-air presence and suffered from it as two Mark 3's were lost.
The Skyssault's began their runs on the bridges taking both out with ease. They exploded and crashed in to the reef.
But as they turned and went to attack the convoy. Two of them had a weapons launch failure and both were lost to their own missiles. Physor had entered and began her run, dropping light bombs over the trucks. They shot into the air ablaze as Physor went vertical for another strike.
However, she had ran out of bombs and her missiles, when fired, didn't explode, also due to a maintenance failure. The armorer had forgotten to give the new missiles their detonation fuses. Physor went low and began strafing with her guns. But the Anti-air did massive damage to her body as she flew over. Her engine was on fire and her left wing had been shot off. She began limping back to the Akio with the rest of the Mark 3's.
Miku Squadron followed in to clean up the rest of the remaining targets. Their A-14's launched rocket attacks as well, quickly finishing up the remaining targets. Only one A-14 was lost from this attack run due to ground fire. They went back to help the other members of the strike team escape as W-heavy's Gundard squadron covered for them. Intruder j-20's entered the AO and dived on the escaping planes, Downing three of the four A-14's, two FSWF-01's, two more Mark 3's and one out of the two remaining Skyssaults.
Gundard retaliated and engaged the Intruders. An intense dogfight filled the sky as J-20's and FSWF-01's crossed paths. Gundard managed to down two of the J-20's
However, more Intruders arrived on the scene, and the battle was turning in their favor.
Gundard Pilot: There is too many of them. We won't win!
Gundard Pilot #2: Please somebody.. hel.....<Static>
Two more Gundard's fell from the darkened sky. The J-20's were once again closing in on the escaping planes when.
AWACS: Warning, 4 unknown aircraft approaching at high Speed!
Miku Pilot: We're out of luck
The 4 unknown aircraft fired one missile. It flew over the escaping planes and struck four Intruders on point. The air went silent as the remaining 2 intruders retreated. The unknown aircraft had massacred the attackers in one swift move.
The remaining planes returned to the carrier. The mysterious four aircraft disappeared into the night. Only the last A-14 and Physor were late heading back. Physor was in bad shape and losing power. Oil and fuel leaked from the bullet holes on her fuselage. The A-14 pilot moved his wing under her half of a wing to help her get back, but it wasn't working. Physor's lowering speed began dragging back on the A-14. They were only 100 feet from the water.
Miku Pilot: I'm sorry Physor...
The A-14 pulled out and back up. Physor barrel-rolled into the ocean in an aggressive crash. Her plane sank head first into the dark sea. Tearing up, the last A-14 returned back to the Akagi.
Not to far from the AO, Marble had been watching the entire battle play out.
he was doing recon and watched as the strike took place. He watched as his fellow pilots died and their planes burn. But that didn't concern him. He began identifying the 4 unknown aircraft that came in to save them. Designating them as GAF-01, he closed the recon file and looked back at the replay. It got to the end where Physor died. he was only half a mile out from her position. He knew he could have done something, and chose not to and to follow his original mission.
Marble: Physor-san, I'm sorry. But we are fighter planes. Weapons of war designed to fight when commanded. My mission was to watch the battle from afar and learn. Saving you......wasn't an objective....
Marble turned back to the carrier, flying into the clouds and wasn't see again. He wasn't the only one watching the battle though......

<< Too fast for you, Antares? >>
For challenge
@FatEgg
@Tomcatbetterthanhornet Okay
Actually A-3 bc there is no A-5 with decent quality
Also gonna find a A-5 for recon
I think I’m going to find a E-2 and a C-2 for the squadron for logistics and AWACS
@Tomcatbetterthanhornet Yeah, most of our battles are going to be Anti-air so this is helpful
@Tomcatbetterthanhornet I saw
It also has a jamming pod and four of the anti-radar missiles (forgot to mention the AGM 45 on the bomber A-6 was replaced by the jamming pod) I noticed your anti air problem so this plane was really directed at that. If your Air Force or Navy want to use any of the 3 planes they are welcome to just change the paint job and take of the roundels
Also the Electronic Warfare plane is up to
The A-6 is a lot less vulnerable bc I stuck a jamming pod on the belly ( endless chaff). Your Air Force and Navy can use the A-7
Ok they are both up
@Tomcatbetterthanhornet Makes sense
Also I will post both bombers but the yella fellas will go with the A-6 bc (lore reason) it’s cheaper (reality I can’t get the markings to work on the A-7 and the A-6 was built 20 minutes away form where I live. The Tomcat was also built in the same factory to)
Kool
@Tomcatbetterthanhornet Alright can't wait to see it
I’m going to try to make a EWO plane out of the A-6
It’s safer and only requires one man to operate
Yea the A-7 is more capable with two MODs, Twelve Boom 50s and two AIM-9s
Don’t buy any A-6s yet tho I have to experiment with the A-7 see if it’s any better
Only problem is they are slow and vulnerable so if given to the yella fellas we would only launch a A-6 strike with 90% air superiority and 15 Tomcats to escort them
@Tomcatbetterthanhornet Okay cool
