This isn't a post for the faint of heart.

Reader discretion is advised. Turn back now if you don't like death and self harm.

I don't like posts like this, but I felt the need to make it because not spreading awareness could result in the death of hundreds of people.

You know what TikTok is, and you know that on the platform, people can perform challenges, lip sync, or perform basic or advanced acts of cringe.

This one is straight up attempted suicide.
Children- yes, children are now participating in a "challenge" where you overdose on the popular allergy medicine Benadryl. The goal is to experience the hallucinations caused by the excessive amount of the substance.

Do. Not. Do. This.

This will kill you, if not, cause serious harm, such as permanent brain damage, or paralysis.

Back in the early 2000s, challenges were things like holding a water balloon over your head, or the ice bucket challenge. The differences between these challenges and the new "challenges" are the fact that the old challenges only posed a risk of bring soaked by water. No harm would be done.
Nowadays, these "challenges" such as eating detergent and overdosing on foreign substances pose risk of death.

The fault lies in three parties. The parents, the kids, and the internet.

In these situations, the parents are at fault for not caring... The parents of these children should have locked away the medicine, and should have monitored their kids' online presence and actions.

The kids are slightly at fault for their lack of common sense. I can't blame them as much, because with the lack of parental presence, it's hard to learn.

And the internet. The creators of these types of challenges need to be locked away. At this point, children have died.

Honestly, if you use TikTok, you should delete it.
I apologise for bringing such a horrible topic to this website, but we need to spread awareness.

This isn't political, this isn't religion, this isn't a "fun challenge", this isn't "kids being kids", it's a straight up crusade against children.

If my post breaks any rules, I will be glad to tweak it and change it according to the rules. I have quickly read over them before submitting the post, but I may have missed something.

The challenge has already resulted in a teen's death. My heart goes out to their family.

@shipster weight is at the very end hanging from a rope (a disabled winch at a set length)
Its a problem with the actual rotator. Same setup but with hinges works perfectly.

ah, is the weight at the very end? Or is it spread throughout the weight arm? @JSwannyGaming148

@shipster yep. I have a bar with a weight thats 1000lb on the end, but the bar rotates very slowly, instead of immediately swinging down to the ground

    That sucks...so just a plain free-spinning rotator doesn’t work? @JSwannyGaming148

@shipster rotators are glitchy in simpleplanes. I had a good concept already made with everything realistic but the rotators wouldn't move properly, no matter how I set them.

    @shipster noted
Actually I can make a proof of concept in simpleplanes
I think I'll do that right now

I’ll give you one tip: USE A SWINGING WEIGHT!!!! If (for example) you were to just bolt a weight on the weight-arm, it will be very inefficient. We solved that issue by slapping together a little weight box that can swing on it’s own @JSwannyGaming148

@shipster lol, I would love to make a trebuchet someday. Pretty simple design. Maybe I can make a sort of trebuchet myself sometime.

Alrighty! Potato cannons are cool, but I think stuff like trebuchets and ballistas are even cooler. Especially when you make them yourself. @JSwannyGaming148

I have no respect nor remorse for parents who refuse to take action against these sorts of things.

@shipster I used hair spray too. Mine had the combustion chamber I think. I made it when I was younger. I'll have to see if I still have it.

Ahh yes, my brother made a potato cannon, he told me it could shoot 250 yards with a can of hair spray. It was the coolest thing considering he made it when I was probably 6. Did yours have just a pipe or did it have an expansion chamber? @JSwannyGaming148
