7 days had passed since the destruction of Polemouth. The Asamian Naval squadrons were ravaged. Constrictor only had two pilots, Maeko and Chouko Miyazaki. Schnee squadron was down to four Tomcats. Moon and Loli squadrons were dead. Gundard was down to one plane. SFM-1 Yella Fellas had the least losses with seven planes still with them. Physite and Anima suffered no losses but took heavy damage. The Oseans have retreated out from the coast and the ocean was quiet. W-heavy navies, Neko squadron, and an R.A.E. agents have decided to set up their own operations to keep the Intruders away while the fleet treated its battle wounds. So, it was decided the fleet would have an island getaway vacation to celebrate a massive victory and honor those who have fallen for it.

All the remaining planes launch off and headed for the island airfield. Teal was not particular fond of this idea and stayed on the carrier as it approached the island. Everyone else landed safely and was greeted by the local citizens. The carrier docked by the coast and deployed small rafts to get to the island. The helicopter squadrons landed by the hotel.

The captain offered tours of the Akagi to the islanders as a thanks for letting them stay. Eagle and Hornet went to book rooms for pilots sleeping at the hotel. Everyone else went to the beach.

Skye: Ahh finally, it been forever since i last wasn't trapped in a combat zone.

Gripen: It's so pretty, bright, and colorful here.

Maeko: Better than looking into the darkness of the storm.

Hornet: What are the others up too?

Skye: I think the boys are trying to have a volleyball game.

They looked over here as Ryu organized teams by Veteran pilots vs Rookie pilots.

Eagle: The teams are still unbalanced.

Ryu: I can go ask some of the girls if they want to come.

Hornet: One-step ahead, boys!

Hornet followed by the other female pilots came to join. They organized themselves into their respective teams. Skye, Phantom, Gripen, and all of Shota squadron were versing Eagle, Hornet, Maeko and Chouko Miyazaki, and all of Midnight Squadron plus the one pilot from Gundard. The presence went from playful to intense as the teams readied themselves for a long game.
A dark, challenging and menacing tone came into their voices

Eagle: Rookies always make the mistake of challenging the wrong people. I'll give you time to reconsider this battle..

Phantom: But, then we waste a chance to fight such worthy opponents..

Eagle: So it be....

Everyone: IT'S TIME TO D....D...D.D.D.D.D DUEL!!

As the volleyball game raged intensely. Teal decided to finally get off the ship and head to the city to check out the shops. There was a cafe not too far from the port. He stopped by at a place called FauxBucks. But when he looked at the menu.

Teal: 2900 yen for a medium latte?! What am I, the Osean President?!

He left the building and was getting ready to head back when a black van pulled up with a sign that said Free Loli Waifu.

Teal: Hey, maybe i can start the next Anima with this.

But as soon as he walked in the door closed behind him.

F.B.I: You picked the wrong van, fool...

We'll Be Right Back

The day was eventful and joyful. The volleyball game ended with Physor smacking the ball down at high speed onto Eagles' team's side. The rookie pilots, Physite, and the younger Anima have won. Teal was casually running away from his problems.

At the end of the day, the pilots regrouped at the cafeteria to have a party. the kitchen was filled with the smells of a buffet. Everyone drunk to their hearts content. Pete and Tara chatted with Anima, discussing the trip to Polemouth and Marble's actions to protect the squadron. They gave headpats to the young Anima and went to have a drink. Two midnight pilots pulled a prank on the captain, putting wine inside the grape juice. But their plan backfired as Marble, Skye, Phantom, and Gripen drank the wine while the captain went to get coffee.

Phantom: uuuhhh....whhhyyy.....is the worrrrrld so blllury?

Marble: Visioon capabiliiiteess.....mhmmmm.....limited.

Gripen: I Dddon't feellll veryyy wellll.

Skye: M..Marble......why diddd you make thhhe shippp daarrrkk...?

They all collapsed to the floor due to the huge alcohol overload. Zura, Physor, Pete, Tara, Hornet and Eagle went to carry the Anima to bed. Upon being laid in bed, they all cuddled next to each other and fell asleep like children. The adults stayed as the other pilots left for their rooms. yelling could be heard from the bridge as the captain scolded the two pilots for making kids drunk. The moonlight shone through the room. As Eagle and Pete sat next to the sick, sleeping Skye and Marble.

Eagle: They're all lovely, aren't they. Even when their sick.

Pete: They are. That's why I must ask you something.

Eagle: Go ahead.

Pete: What would you guys do if one of them got shot down?

Eagle: I don't know. They never stated rescue procedures for the Anima.

Pete: That's my issue. I think your government believes you guys and Physite are expendable and would let you guys die just to win the war. I didn't care about what you guys had, we just wanted to fight for money, until i met them and this fleet in general. It's lively and friendly, and all they think about is protecting the ones they care about, and the Anima and Physite show that very well. Even the little dark one, who came back to save my squadron from the Twins despite the order to retreat and his own limits. I want you to know that you guys have are thanks. We're not letting a single one of you die. I want to make it to the end of this war all together. Can you promise me that?

Eagle: Why would I not.

They shook hands on it and Pete left the room. Eagle got ready for bed himself. But before he turned off the lights, he noticed Marble's hair flicker with red sparks. His ear twitched and his hair flickered again. Eagle went into his room but he was too restless to fall asleep.
