Is there a way to make hinges set to floppy have a limit. For example i want the floppy hinges to go 45degrees but not go -45degrees just 0-45 degrees only on floppy hinges

@An2k here
@Jauntyccmbr yep kinda intriged where youll use the floppy hinge
@An2k its okay its not your fault you want a sneak peek of where I need it? besides the dummy before
@Jauntyccmbr @BeryllCorp yeah Berll was right min max does not effect it must be the rangeofmotion and angle of the rotator ..im rusty and that build was months ago..
Thanks for CLarification and correction
@An2k does not work for me sadly:(
@Jauntyccmbr i edited my reply below to clarify it more..
.
a warning tho. If you edited your hinge's range of motion to nonstandard value (ie. numbers with decimals and ones that are not multiples of 5) you must not open its parts properties (the gear button). Doing so will reset the hinge back to standard value (no decimals, only multiples of 5)
i think turn speed off and you can change only angles
@BeryllCorp its okay id like to hear whats the problem of yours is
@An2k there is no bug and your hinges work fine.
.
What you got wrong is saying min/max values can limit the hinge's range of motion if its floppy
.
Sorry OP this thread got derailed a bit
@BeryllCorp my SP physics setting is high and im still on 1.9...and
do pls try this simplier original one
move trim up and down and see the elbow and legs flop around...trying to figure out if this is a bug or something
thanks in advance>>>Link<<<
@BeryllCorp they dont move as intended when still attached to the quad..thu if you launch it it a floppy ragdoll
@An2k i tested your dummy from the link you posted... the elbow hinges cannot move at all because it lacks another hinge between the handlebars and the hands
@BeryllCorp can you test my dummy ? The elbows is set to 45° and set to floppy like most of the limbs .. AG1 to launch ragdoll and let it fall heres the link >>>>link<<<<
@BeryllCorp strange...hinge on the elbows on my dummy thu worked does not fold backward but thanks ill test it further..that project was built 2 months ago and must forgot some details i think..must be something else then if thats what you say
@Jauntyccmbr rotate the hinge and the stuff connected to it by 22.5° and set its range of motion to 22.5° using overload.
Edit: With this, you can have 22.5° of motion in both directions resulting to a total of 45° in range of motion.
.
@An2k min/max value doesnt affect the hinge's range of motion if it is floppy.
Try placing it on another hinge that would go 45 degrees at level start...
Nudge them in each other...
...
Profit.
I have set Min -1 Max 0 rangeofmotion 45° floppy (
hinge on the elbows
) thats the setting I have on this articulated rider ragdoll dummy with parachutes as an example here the >>>>link<<<<Its Elbow wont move back but will go forward towards its chest. To see them in action clearly..
Set the cockpit(His CAP)defaultcolition
tonone
so the cockpit wont fly off ....i have set it to default so his cap the cockpit flyoff if the ragdoll hits the ground hardI dont know... but nice profile picture
