Real quick before you get to the story I have decided that I will try a stab at publishing this into a short story. Stuff will need to be changed like private jell will be changed to lieutenant jell starting with this chapter( I'll go revise the other posts later). I'll keep you updated with the progress of when it may come out where it will come out stuff like that. I hope if I do publish it goes over well. It may be awhile though with school and everything. Anyway enough of me talking, but first if you did miss the last one here's a recap of the last few sentences
A Japanese ship was spotted and the Wayne Bergen was in full panic to get to stations. The battleship of the taskforce opened fire as well as the enemy ship, plot twist it was heading right for captain Wengers ship. Enjoy!

The shells came streaking by the bow of the ship, nearly missing the guard rails on the port side.
" FIRE!!", Captain Wenger yelled to the gun crews. The shells flew towards the enemy ship and glided right over the front guns. The rest of the ships in the taskforce opened fire on the Japanese ship. The bergen got 3 hits and the battleship got 2 hits on the enemy ship and it engulfed in flames. Cheers rang out on the bridge of the Bergen as the enemy ship limped back the way it came.
"Yes! Good job gunners we got some hits. Now that we know there is enemy activity in the area, be on alert. There could be more ships out there."
The rest of the day was calm. USS Midway sent out some scouts to search for any enemy ships, none were found. In a few weeks they'll hit siepan. Then the action will ramp up as they will be on the frontline, prepared for a fight.
"Seas are getting a bit rough I see." Lieutenant jell said.
"Wonderful observation lieutenant. Well I guess were in for a storm."
It's been 1 week since they arrived in siepan, and have had no engagements yet. Tensions have been rising with no enemies spotted.
" captain Midway's scout plane has reported 2 enemy ships 50 miles west of our position. They say one cruiser and one deastroyer, the deastroyer looks slightly damaged. They want to engage. Do we engage sir?"
"Yes we will stick with midway and open fire when in range." Do they know how fast their going and which direction their heading?
"North west sir, but their not sure of the speed. Messages are being decoded as we speak so we should know more information soon."
"Hmm, ok thank you for the information. Keep me posted"
"Yes sir"
"Looks like were in for fight lieutenant. When were about a mile out of range get all hands to their battle stations."
"Will do captain"
Midway and the rest of the taskforce headed for an intersect course and were getting prepared for a fight.
"Men we will have our first engagement soon. Be prepared for what is to come. When were a mile out of range you will report to your stations. Thank you that is all."
When they got closer it was apparent that the enemy deastroyer was damaged. A small plume of smoke could be seen on the horizon.
"All hands report to your stations."
Sir latest reports are in, your not going to believe what's with them.
