How to get upvotes
Increase the quality of your planes.
Put details into your plane. Take sometime to review all the small bits on a real plane by examining pictures and blueprints. And what I mean details is details like functioning radar dome, flaps etc or visually like numbers and airforce markings.
Build friendships!
Build friendships.. do collaborations, crossovers etc. Sometimes they will ask you to tag him or her in your builds.
You should probably join a simpleplanes discord server!
Promoting your builds is kinda hard. Why not Join a simpleplanes discord server? this can be a roleplaying server, build showcasing server and more. If the server has many members in it good for you. You can show them how your builds like, progress etc. So they might be interested.
Know your time zone!
I don't know about you but in my country (indonesia) the best time to upload is at night time. Because I know many sp users lived in the United States or canada and if it's nighttime here it's day time there. But this may vary because they had schools and jobs etc. So sometimes you will get less upvotes.
Don't promote your build in someone's comments!
Seriously don't I learned it the hard way during my bronze years.
Don't mass tag everyone!
It's now illegal to do so. It's called point farming.
Don't post anyone's work without changes to build or credit!
Don't post anyone's work without changing the original build, that already breaks the rules and it's common to see people trying to take your post down. Also don't you dare circumventing the predecessor succesor system that is a more serious violation (kinda?? Idk I'm not a mod) if you accidentally circumvent the succesor predecessor system please give credit to the original user.
Being open to suggestions from users!

Communicate with the community a little bit more, they will improve your reputation and Upvotes! (If you actually listen to them lol)
USE CUSTOM SCREENSHOTS!
Use custom screenshots! Players always have more attention to the custom screenshot Chad's planes instead of the normal plain screenshot virgins.
With the advent of 1.10 update mobile players can do it too! I'm not going in-depth how to do it figure it yourself.
Use photos in your planes descriptions!
Prove your plane is worthy of download and upvotes. And also to proof the capabilities of the plane.
Use the "![](post the image link here)" command in your desc. Use websites like postimage.org to upload your image and copy the link
Add ACTUAL Descriptions
Add description it can be veeeeryyyy looong or very short. Atleast you had a few words to say, because people will get suspicious if a build doesn't have description. Especially if the build is a very detailed one
Or, if you want to avoid upvotes click here
You forgot one thing, good screenshots!
A build will get more attention if it stands out from the crowd of new creations.
.
If your a mobile user, you can use the dev console to your advantage. Here are some commands to help get better screenshots on both the designer and the sandbox:
For Designer screenshots:
//Designer(Clone)/CameraTarget/Camera>Camera.set_fieldOfView X
for FoV//CameraTarget>>Camera.backgroundColor 0.5,0.5,0.5,50
for background colour.
For sandbox screenshots:
//MainCamera>Camera.set_fieldOfView 15
and//CameraPlane>Camera.set_fieldOfView 15
for FoV//maincamera>camera.set_depth 10

@F104Deathtrap I also miss having a good conversation with you as well comrade
@MrSilverWolf Aw, I miss talking to you on discord
@MrSilverWolf :)
Very nice tutorial(?) of how to get upvotes! however I would recommend not joining SP discords, from my experience they were horrible, but again that’s just my experience
And I would say being open to suggestions and constructive criticism is a huge help too
(With the time zone thing, personally, I think weekends work better)
@Highground
lol
@KnightOfRen whoops, I meant pm. I'll change that or something
@Highground
A.M??!! Are you insane? That's midnight!
@KnightOfRen I live in the Philippines, which has a 12 hr difference between the US. I post at 11:45pm, so I would recommend from 11:00am-12:50pm
@rexzion lol
@rexzion
You missed one: Make a forum saying to upvote the build bc it doesn't have enough.
@rexzion
lmao
actually, better idea: beg everyone for upvotes and tag an excessive amount of people on your trash post, tag the mods too!
best way to get banned, trust me it works
I'm in oregon, in the USA. What time should I post?
