"Tell them the may fire when ready. Waste no time we need to bring those planes down. What's height and do we know how many dive bombers and torpedo bombers are their?
" we know they are at 25,000ft but we don't know the numbers of planes. Midways aircraft will hopefully tell us how many dive bombers are there."
"When should they be up?"
"3 have already launched and 15 more are preparing to takeoff."
"Good keep an eye on the skies and if any are coming for us tell the gunners to focus fire on those planes."
"Aye aye sir"

The attack was quite a surprise as no intercepted messages warned of an attack. This left only one option, it was a russian attack.
"Sir the corsairs have reported 75 russian dive bombers and about 30 Japanese torpedo bombers. The fighters are mixed with some jap and some Russian. The base radar also is detecting some low level activity but it's to far away to pinpoint what it is yet."
"Thank you Sargent. Tell the lookouts to see if they can spot any surface ships."
"Will do captain"
This was not good news for captain Wenger. He has a feeling that the low level object is something he is well familiar with. He is just hoping his hunch is wrong.
"Sir the planes are getting closer should we move?"
"Yes, of course we should move. Why didn't you ask me that sooner? full ahead."
"Aye aye sir. Sir base just reported they have identified the low level objects to be planes, most likely kamikazes. Some other ships in the area report seeing a column of water and some small white object close to the water."
"No! this is what I was worried about! Tell the lookouts to look for these planes we need to kill them as soon as possible!"
"Yes sir."
Captain Wenger knew that the wigon airbase would be sending out their planes soon and should arrive in 7 minutes. That could be to late in the current situation their in. He is hopeful that midways planes could hold off the enemy for that long.
" sir lookouts report seeing the enemy low level planes and confirm them to be ohka's. It looks like its heading towards the deastroyer Wentworth. The wigon planes are 5 minutes out sir."
"Very good."
The enemy planes finally got close enough for the aa guns to open fire and every ship opened up their guns on the lines of planes. 3 were hit before the first started down for their dive. 2 were going for new Jersey but they were luckily shot down right after they went into their dive. 1 was locked on to the Bergen. And an ohka was also on course to hit the Bergen.
"Tell the gunners on the the port side to fire at the dive bomber and the star board to fire on that ohka!"
The aa guns opened fire on the dive bomber and the ohka. The dive bomber released their bombs and pulled off. The ohka was easily shot down. The bombs glided towards the Bergen and just barely missed the aft section of the ship. Sir 3 more dive bombers are coming in and another 4 torpedo bombers are coming in!"
