So I my previous post I mentioned an idea I had for a total gyro controlled plane no control surfaces just a gyro and this is what I found after my initial 20minutes of testing
how I achieved this
So what I did was a made the airframe and added a gyro and two hinge rotators, one for pitch and one for roll. The only reason for the wings is for stability. Each rotator is set at 45°s and is inverted. the gyro is 250% on everything.
so the initial testing
So when I first spawned it in the hinge rotators were not invented so the controls were invented but it was seeming to work fairly well the only problem was thrust ( the smallest jet engine on 6 times power which was upgraded to the next one up at the same power level). After inverting the rotators and changing engines the problems started showing themselves.
the problems
When pitching up it is really hard and it can stall the plane with the loss of airspeed and after a few seconds its pitch authority is SO bad it would probably take about 1 minute or more to do a full roll. Speaking of roll the roll seems to be the way to gain back airspeed lost to pitch but you can only roll so far and it really isn't much, not much better than the pitch after the few seconds of actually pitching. More testing will be done where I will mess with gyro strength, the amount of degrees the hinges have.

Alright awsome @PapaKernels
@ACEPILOT109 yea I'll be happy to make a private post and show you what I have. Right now I'm just figuring out what combination of pitch and roll authority and the gyro stability is the best for a well working plane. I will get on that then.
mnm nice! at least its working! if you dont mind could I try the prototype?
@PapaKernels funky trees is vanilla
@rexrexThezion nope no funky trees will be used it will be all vanilla parts and totally a radical design
funky trees
@IssaIwan this will explain what I did and how I did it
@acepilot109 these are the initial findings and more testing will be done
@BagelPlane @Griffon1Crosswind @edensk these are the initial findings more testing will be ongoing so stay tuned
