TEASER: Something New

Hello, everyone! I have made this post as a sort of announcement/teaser for a new build that I am working on.

I will not disclose too much detail but I will tell you that it will be a land vehicle. Another rather odd aspect is that it will have a large amount of detail, and while with no roomy interior, will have an aiming system and exterior detail.

For those of you who know me, you may know that I do not like detail since it, as well as mods, are not very suitable for mobile players. If you are on a PC, you may know that we have mods as well as tolerance for high part counts, but the same cannot be said for our mobile fellows.

I am saying we, because I have gotten a new PC to replace my Windows 8. Yes, pitiful, but reliable since 2016.

I will actually be doing some detailing, as literally everything else is finished, and I have been experimenting with mass editing. The build will have some mass health edits, and also all collisions and drag disabled on all parts so that mobile users may have a chance.

So far, I can say that I do in fact need some help, but not in the building sector, even though that would be great.

I have been having some problems with mods, not the tracks mod, but the turret mod. The aim seems to be better in 1.8 and the dampening and targeting is broken, as well as the cameras and the UI.

Because of this, I have had to resort to using the beta's autotarget funky tree features, but for myself it may be a bit too funky. This is the part that I need help on.

If anyone with FT technological knowledge like Snow could help, that would be great.

    First off, thanks for helping me...

    The thing that I need help with is the turret of the vehicle. I have used rotators on the turret and the gun, and the thing that I need to do is to perfect the FT for targeting on it. I have seen that many targeting systems on this website are stationary, but with a vehicle it would move, and since the cockpit would have roll and pitch as the ground would not always be stable and flat, the aiming for the gun would be off. Also, normally using the gun has problems with limitations, not collisions but it sometimes glitches around.
    .
    So I thought that I could make the cockpit attached to a tether with gyroscopes to level the actual cockpit out, but that results in some very weird results. One of my better ideas was to make the gun level at all times using one rotator, and then making it target with another. This may be a better idea... as well as just using a gyroscopic leveled gun barrel, and then making it input values when aiming, and to level at idle as the in-game one does by itself.
