The Penlandians have done it!
They have achieved air superiority using the MK. 1 BallPlen and continue to defend the closest cities near the coastal city of Pentil. Planning to inflitrate the city, the Penlandians formed massive squadrons and flew to Pentil.
Although the sheer number of planes was not enough. The skies were filled with smoke and ash as the Pencilanian's Anti-Aircraft cannons shot down the squadrons of BallPlens. Only a single pilot returned alive.. Lieutenant "Phill Iota."
After hearing the tragic story of their squadron, President Castel ordered a new model of plane to be made. An aircraft that can withstand heavy gunfire and cannon shrapnel. They started the development of the MK 2 PentelPlen a medium class bomber/fighter. Designed to take heavy hits and provide air support for ground troops as well as bomb at enemy AA guns and bases.
