Maybe no one will notice.
I hope to become a valued member of the community. However, with the mechanics of upvotes, points, and followers on the SP site, some smaller users (including me, at least I think) deserve more recognition for their effort. I decided that the only way to change this is to change it the way we're supposed to change it, which is to play the waiting game and gain points (duh!). I, however, am a very ambitious person with very ambitious goals. I already accomplished what I hoped for: to get on the home page. But I want more.
So,
I will try my best to achieve what I hope I am capable of and thus:
- I want to get featured on the home page by the end of 2020
- I want to get to Gold status by the end of 2020
- I want to get to Platinum by the end of 2021
Now, with especially the last of the three goals, these plans are ambitious. With the exception of MobileFriendly, I am not aware of anyone who has gotten to Platinum within two years of making their first post. Maybe some has done it, but it is hard. I want to get closer to achieving these goals by making an A350 in a collab with @ParziParziTheVal. I don't know how it will turn out, but I hope it can be one of the better A350s on the site.
Thank you for reading. If you'd like to help me, then you can support my builds. Thank you so much!
*I will try to upload more consistently in the meantime to reach these goals. I hope more people can get to know my builds soon.
@KnightOfRen Thank you! lol I thought people hate me these days bc of my greed and my laziness and my pointless and boring forum posts
lol I might be the first to hit plat in under 5 months. Good luck on your journey! I'll be here to support you!
@UtsuhoReiuji lol
@FeiWu Took me almost 4 years to get gold lmao. I just never post though
Yes I am nearly at 3.5k lol
That’s 1.5k in just under 3 months
It’s not that hard
3.5!
If you are aiming for Plat or some point milestone, you’ll actually need to upload on a fairly regular basis. While quality is great, and getting builds with +100 upvotes every few months or so is nice, ur more likely to achieve such a goal with builds every week or so that get 30-40 upvotes. This is not my preferred method of building, but it is what many other users who achieve plat quickly do. Here, quantity and quality are equally important.
Learn to make hollow fuselages. They will help you extremely well
@UtsuhoReiuji good advice lol
Thank you so much!
Tips:
-Make use of what tools have been provided, including but not limited too: screenshots, teasers, and friends on the website.
-Find your building niche (something you will continue to love building)
-Work to improve your build quality, building skills, and finalizing your build style
-Dont be afraid to ask for help
-Community loves complex and/or clean looking builds. Builds that both look good and have functionality preform great on the website.
There have been some instances of people getting platinum or close to it within months of their first post. I’ll give you a quick bit of tips for you in another comment.
Anyways, nice goals. As long as you are willing to put in the work and time, then I don’t see how you will not be able to achieve them.
