Devs... Please help... I STILL Keep Crashing....

18.0k typeZERO  4.2 years ago

Crash

Devs, this is the 2nd time I posted this problem, and I hope you will not turn a blind eye on this time...

Platform: Windows 8 64 bit
Update Number: 1.10
Mods: None

Crash Type:
My Game Crashes Every 5 Minutes (Estimated). And it Never Responds again. So you will be forced to Exit the game Via Task manager and Launch the Game again and the cycle repeats....

And Because of this, I was forced to download a Cracked Older Version of the game to Continue my Projects. But I will inevitably have to go to 1.10 to install the glass and to edit the Blast radius, But Cannot Do it due to this Problem...

Please Devs, Halp.......

But, This will not Stop me. I am Running out of time, And I will not let this get in my way of finishing my SP Projects.
    .
I will Find a Cracked Version of SP and Sneak Into Any PC I get my hands on and Take Any Time I can get to Finish my Projects. I am Sorry.... But I have to Get a Cracked Version of SP.....

Mr. Garrison. I Trusted my teacher for a good reason. You can really Call him a Computer Expert. I Saw him code through my Classmate's Laptop and fix A Worm that Deletes .exe files (Though it took him nearly 3 months to fix it... [Happened Last last year]), He even showed us how to turn of the Ransomware software that infected his laptop last 2016 if I recall the date correctly.
    .
He's one Scary Teacher. But Him saying to me that He Tried Everything he can think of and telling me to either Buy a new Laptop or Find another technician, then this problem is indeed something else...

I'm sorry to hear that. I would imagine that resetting your PC would get your laptop back to a working state. Just make sure you back up your files first.

Hello Mr. Garrison. I Consulted this problem to my Teacher, who is an IT Expert and is also a Computer Technician. I Did not really fully understand what he said about the Full Cause of this Problem. But I THINK he said that I installed THE LATEST DRIVERS, but not THE RECOMMENDED Drivers for my laptop... something like that.
    .
He also told me (If you translate it in English) :
"I Tried Every Possible way to Restore the Old Drivers on it, or at least prevent any further Crashes If you play any Games. But None of them Work. You should either buy a new laptop, or Find a Better Technician than me. I'm sorry."
    .
Welp... I guess this is the end of my Simple Planes Career.

At this point your best bet might be to Refresh Your PC without affecting your files in PC Settings -> General.

I would recommend backing up any aircraft designs and any other files that you care about beforehand.

Everything is Good. No Updates, Everything is up to date. The 3 Games that I have are is still Broken. And World of warships Keeps Saying "Critical Error, Terminate or Restart".
    .
    Yeeeeeeeh. Lesson Learned...
I should have just Shutted Up instead of asking for help...
    .
I should have just waited for the next Update of Simple Planes, because it may be that this current update is not suited for my Laptop...
    .
I just made everything a whole lot worst...

Well, the plot thickens. Have you tried checking Windows Update and seeing if your PC needs to install any updates? I'm sorry for the mess. Normally installing drivers is not so painful. What games are not working now?

I'm sorry to hear that. I'm really confused because your player.log file first mentioned you had an AMD Radeon R5 M230, but when you posted the 2nd log file it now says you have an AMD Radeon HD 8500M.

My next suggestion would be to try using the Auto-Detect tool from AMD (direct link).

I Tried the Restore Point that you Suggested, and it found no Restore Point.... I cannot revert back to the old Drivers...
    .
I also checked in World of Warships, but it said that there is no problem in the game itself. Its just that the ADM Drivers is not Responding everytime the game runs...
    .
    .
Yeah, I should have just Shutted Up instead of asking for help... I just made everything worst....

Bad News..... The problem is Bigger than I though. 3 of my games stopped stopped functioning with the updated drivers... I'll be taking that Restore Points steps you said...
    .
are you sure this will work?
I don't want to Format my laptop if this goes wrong... There are things that I already set here in my Laptop that Cannot be Restored once the format completes...

You could try restoring to a Restore Point to reset your computer back to as it was before installing the drivers. Instructions here.

Also have you tried restarting your pc and checked if World of Warships needs to be updated? What about Windows Update?

@typeZERO Ah, sorry to hear that. Also, I should have looked closer at your log file. You mentioned you aren't using any mods but the game is trying to load some. Try renaming your mods folder temporarily and see if that fixes the game.

You can find the Mods folder here:
    %UserProfile%\AppData\LocalLow\Jundroo\SimplePlanes

Just rename it to Mods.Backup and then try starting SimplePlanes again.

My PC Is windows 8.1. But Can it handle the Windows 10 one?

@typeZERO It looks like the drivers for your AMD Radeon R5 M230 graphics card are outdated. You can try updating them here.
