If you didn’t already know, I’m a fan and a player of the criminally underrated game called RainWorld, a game where you play as a nomadic slug-cat creature that has to survive in a harsh, unforgiving, and mysterious world, filled to the brim with predators of all sorts.
The largest creature in the game (excluding void worms) is the Leviathan, a sea-dwelling creature that has been described by other players as a sentient cybernetic kelp. It boasts massive hydraulic crushers, originally used to manufacture metal parts to create iterators, but are now possessed by a species of carnivorous kelp-like creature. It uses these crushers to grab and instantly pulverize prey items, making a quick and easy meal for the carnivorous plant.
Now, this is just my rendition of the Leviathan‘s description, as some other players have described the Leviathan as a massive worm-like creature, that is more fleshy than it is plant-like. Although that wouldn’t explain how it has massive hydraulic crushers, it’s not like those would just grow on the Leviathan’s face as if they were a physical part of the Leviathan’s body.
Anyway, the question as to how massive Industrial Grade Hydraulic Crushers got onto what is either a cybernetic kelp creature, or some massive worm creature, is unimportant in this context. What is important, however, is that I made one in SimplePlanes! I apologize if that wasn’t already obvious enough.
Here’s some GIFs of the Leviathan in game:
And here’s some screenshots of the one I made in SimplePlanes, along with some concept art:
If you have any questions, feel free to ask! I always love explaining RainWorld Lore to people, as the game is so much deeper than it looks, and there’s so many interesting and intriguing features in the game that are unfortunately, overlooked by a lot of people, which is one of the main reasons why this game is so criminally underrated, and it deserves more attention.
Comment “T” to be tagged if/when I post it!
I would love to add the squiggling pattern that can be seen in the GIFs and concept art, but man would that take a long time, and it would increase the part count 1,000fold.
@AWESOMENESS360 True, you’re kinda right
@KnightOfRen nope

@Learpot In my personal opinion, 600+ is a lot more than just a couple.
I cant wait to get terrorized and get held hostage by a couple fuselage blocks!

@vasilisa11 the hell is this comment supposed to be?
@AWESOMENESS360 good sites) thanks. I saw later, because I'm very buzy and working with http://www.estrieplus.com/contenu-patokhchodievprojets_mecene-1986-48686.html but.. thank you
@TurtlesThatFly thanks! If you were wondering how I did it, (in case you wanted to try yourself) I took the screenshots normally, and then edited them via IbisPaint X. It’s really simple to learn, and the end result always seems to look nice.
I love those SP screenshot edits! They have some lego set box art vibes to them
Also, that thing is nightmare fuel

I probably should’ve specified that neither of the top two images were made by me, only the SimplePlanes screenshots were by me.
The ilustration is completely Awesomeness
Huh, that's actually really good, well done.
That looks like a cool game. Really nice art style!
Looks epic as man! Even without the pattern I think it will look scary enough for a Halloween build :)
