I'm making a fictional air racer floatplane which uses a periscope instead of a normal cockpit for outside vision, so does anybody know how to make a functional periscope which can be used to look outside from the inside of the aircraft? Also if possible I would like to know if it is possible to make a glass fuselage that lets you see outside without actually being able to see outside, like a CCTV system.
NOTE 1: everything needs to be stock (Overload or Fine Tuner is ok) or android-compatible since I don't have a PC with Simpleplanes on it
NOTE 2: please don't make it 10,000 parts
anybody know how to make a functional periscope cockpit

Here's how cameras work: you place the camera like a normal block, and when you change views you can look from the point of view of the camera. But here's the sneaky bit, the point of view is actually slightly above where the camera is, so if you nudge the camera just below the surface of a fuselage or something the camera is invisible but you can still use it like normal.
As for making the cockpit block disappear, you cant do that. What good designers usually do is they use finetuner to shrink the cockpit block so small that nobody notices it. DO NOT DO THAT UNTIL EVERYTHING ELSE IS DONE because it's hard to work with when its tiny.
@F104Deathtrap i mentioned you on the post
just tell me if this would be impossible
@F104Deathtrap but there is 2 problems, one that the periscope is blocked by some fuselage in front of it and 2 that i also want to find a way to install two windows so that the player could look outside but not have that odd bumpy look of the normal custom fuselages that would be needed (or minimize the bumpy fuselage appearance
You've got two options:
1) You use a camera on a rotator that you can switch to when you want to look outside. Mount the camera slightly beneath a black fuselage inlet, so its point of view seems like you're looking through a persicope.
2) You build a tiny cockpit with a hole where the "periscope viewer" is supposed be. The entire cockpit will have to be small enough to hide, and it has to sit on a rotator so you can pretend to look around outside. This plan will be more impressive but it will also be 1000x more complicated.
@banbantheman i could try making a really long camera that is extremely thin with overload or using clipped cameras for external view
@NexusGaming but you only have that option, unless you wanna use mods
@banbantheman but that ain't realistic
shame they haven't implemented the periscope feature though. you can use cameras for the periscope.
