I'd say the Sabre had the speed advantage and they can choose whether to engage or not but if they lose too much speed they will become sluggish and get clubbed my the MiG which has lower wing loading and higher thrust/weight.
The MiG can climb way higher that the Sabre too but the MiG need to force Sabre to turn-fight with them otherwise Sabre can just out run the MiG.
So... for me the MiG plays defensive role a lot.
And Sabre have to attack without losing too much speed or it will be their last.
@WiiMini the top speed is useless when turning, choosing an aircraft by its top speed is a mistake, for a good fighter, the more he accelerates strong and handles well, the better, for the interceptor, it's a bit the opposite. In comparison, a mig 31 flies at more than 3000 km/h, while a Rafale flies at 2400, but the Rafale accelerates much faster and handles better.
@CharlesDeGaulle same thing in mario kart wii. Im not chooseing the faster car with lower acceleration to beat my sibling, but I choose the default and encourage them to pick the faster car, so I can beat them over and over with my unparalleled acceleration
@WiiMini The Sabre handled better, was faster, but the Mig was stronger, accelerated stronger, and was better armed, in a frontal confrontation, when the planes met, the migs were wreaking havoc with their 37mm cannon.
@KnightOfRen 9 of those were north korean inexperienced pilots, the last one was the soviets. The Sabre is more advanced, but coming up against experienced soviet pilots, is daring to say the least.
@KnightOfRen depends if the pilot of the mig has a brain made of wet dingy spagettios, or if his brain is so wrinkly, my grandmother's feet would be put to shame. it just depends on the pilot.
The MiG is here!!!!!!

I've logged out for an hour and this turn into the MiG alley lol.
@CharlesDeGaulle yesss

I think i've scarred them for life

@CharlesDeGaulle, @KnightOfRen causing the americans to handle their sabers like they'd handle their sabers in the morning. They'd miss.
@CharlesDeGaulle yes indeed
@WiiMini It appears that the Soviets had brought a squadron of their best pilots in secret.
@KnightOfRen it's just many soviets knew how to handle their migs better than americans handling their saber.
@KnightOfRen 9 of those were north korean inexperienced pilots, the last one was the soviets. The Sabre is more advanced, but coming up against experienced soviet pilots, is daring to say the least.
American pilots were more experienced, the Mig was better, except against the Sabre E.
@WiiMini
Sabre has a 10:1 kill ratio compared to MiG
@KnightOfRen depends if the pilot of the mig has a brain made of wet dingy spagettios, or if his brain is so wrinkly, my grandmother's feet would be put to shame. it just depends on the pilot.
@CharlesDeGaulle true
@WiiMini Unless the pilot is called No Kum Sok
It's a MIG 15, that won't cooperate with operation Moolah
The Sabres don't like this aircraft, it has a fearsome 37mm gun, it's subsonic, and it's one of the most beautiful planes in the world.
Sabre is better. >:)
@PapaKernels
You're not wrong lol.
Either a mig 15 or 17 I think, but probably am wrong
