Don’t give up. Disassemble builds made by the platinum playerrs and watch building tutorials by mikoyanster. You can always try unique ideas such as a plane that uses detatchers to propel itself or you can try what I did and use fuselage blocks in creative ways. Also you can just take a small break from posting planes. You could also go on google and just search aircrafts

terraria 1.4 is just so much fun and it sucks up all the time that i would use for other time but thats a good thing for me

hi i was like u. i just wanna say - dont give up, unless u just really want to. it takes some serious time to get where me and my other half (@XP) are right now, but I also felt like quitting with only 20 downloads or so on my posts. I made some powerful friends, and they spotlighted my posts, and helped me become better and better. Without them, i would have quit. It's easy to find friends in this community. I just hope you stay.
