How to make people click on your forum!
sorry for the clickbait, just testing my thing out
1: Short Words [ex; why, lol, how, bruh]
Short words usually don't give context to the content to your forum, making users unable to know what your content will be about, except for what type of forum it is (is it a question, etc). This will give the reader some curiosity on what's it about and they'll click it.
Most platinum users do this because they're like "celebrities" in the SP community. All they say is "lol" and they get like 270 comment upvotes. Just a small word from them gets them attention.
2. Add a catchy phrase (mostly for teasers)
Put a phrase to your title. Example for teasers: "Queen of the Skies [TEASER]" etc.
3. Put a very short and basic sentence
Put a sentence someone who is playing roblox would say. Ex; "@Belugasub is noob"
4. "Regarding" posts
Put something like "Regarding airplanes", that will give readers attention to your post and curiosity, so they would click it.
5. Cliffhanger Style
Suggested by KnightOfRen
Anything that has to do with a problem between you and the community, then the word "but" at the end. Ex; "The entire SP community will probably hate me for this, but...", "This is going to sound strange, but..." etc.
6. Make the title something that might suggest drama...
Suggested by AsteroidAsteroidTheBook
Ahh yes, SP drama, a classic. Even though it may be annoying to others, it's interesting to some. So, people will click on it. Then write down the real message of the forum, not related to drama. It'll make them a little surprised.
How to make your forum readable
Congratulations! You got users looking at your forum! But will they stay to read it? Or will they just say: "Ehh, too many words, why bother reading this"
1. Format it so readers can skim through it
Suggested by jamesPLANESii
A wall of text intimidates users. Instead, format it into different sections using headings and subheadings. Maybe put quotes in Italics (*text*
). Make it look very easy to the eye.
2. Add some humor or irony to it
idk, self explanatory
3. Add images (for teasers)
Teasers should hype up the community on what your new airplane will be next. The best way of doing this is to show the airplane in it's form.
Give your comments and suggestions down below!
Format the thread so you can skim read it and still know that it's about. I think that's a huge thing. Nobody wants to read a wall of text.
Make the title something that might suggest drama, and then write your actual message in the forum itself.
Or use something like "The entire SP community will probably hate me for this, but...", "This is going to sound strange, but...", "Degradation in SP", or "What the frick/Holy frickin crap"
@AndrePlaysSP lol
i think i got that covered :v
ok taht's a pretty... short and basic sentence.
@jamesPLANESii no Santa hat???!?
Of course, any random combination of the above is even better. "regarding that German Corsair bad as crap so you may be mad at me...[TEASER]"
@jamesPLANESii Oh ok thanks
@tsampoy Using paragraphs and headings, like you've done here lol
@jamesPLANESii Hmm, how though?
@KnightOfRen Yess, that's relatable
@AsteroidAsteroidTheBook Ooh, that's a good one
ye
@KnightOfRen
I usually cycle between newest and hottest posts. What catches my attention is everything. But I don't know with others
@tsampoy but the most important thing, did you get the reference?
@PapaKernels lol
Hmm, I guess it doesn't seem to work all the time
Also I use catchy titles but still not many people click it, its annoying, I'd like to talk to people and see their input in the comments on the topic I discuss or the build I'm making.
Why?... because! ( get the reference?)
