This is my largest build yet! And my phone can barely run it on the highest settings...
I am debating on making it officially part of the THI and calling it the X6-Skycastle... but whatever.
This plane is built to carry 2 high-yield explosives, or 2 nuclear devices along with another 69,000 pounds of explosives. It also hosts 3 Anti-air ball turrets (credit to @Rhunadan) that are dual-barrel 20mm. It also has 2 high explosive anti-ship 120mm autocannons. Also, this beast is quite fun to fly! Just don't pull up too hard :|
I will be making small improvements until I can upload it tomorrow, among them being better lights, more decals, and also cameras and other fine-tuning things.
As always, I hope you like this teaser and if you want to be tagged, please put a T in the comments :)
Weapons
- 3 ball turrets
- 2 Hawk's Storm (high-yield bombs)
- 46 1,500 pound bombs
- 2 120mm autocannons
See y'all later!
BTW that bomb bay took me over an hour to make... grrr
Also, the plane is supposed to resemble a bird in flight.
HUUUUGE thanks to @Cyan for the feedback on the wings, @KnightOfRen for the feedback on how to make Custom Control Surfaces truly work good, thanks to @MrEarth for the bomb bay tutorial, and thanks to @Rhunadan for the ball turrets.
And before anyone asks, this plane was based on the YMF-1 Airacuda and the B-36D Peacemaker. As I will explain later in the true post's story, this plane is also based on the X-6 Crusader (there are nuclear engines on it)
I can't wait for this to be done with XD. This plane literally lags when I'm XML coding a single part... grrrr
