Hi everyone,
After a wild semester, I have finally had some me-time. Of course, this personal time includes some SP. My current project has been quite fun to take screenshots with, so I might as well share some:
It is a spaceworthy fighter named Edgecrusher, designed to hop from planet-to-planet within a solar system. The fighter’s name is from a song by Fear Factory, about a revolutionary who overthrows the institutions of a dystopian future.
As for the build itself, it is in the very early stages of development. Here’s what it features so far:
- Complete 3-axis attitude control via gyroscopes
- Spaceworthy propulsion system (Three-mode)
- Multirole flak Cannon
- Cockpit with basic 3D artificial horizon, weapon heat indicators, proximity alarms, re-entry max speed indicator, and basic reticle.
- Atmospheric re-entry dethrottle (works best under 125,000 mph)
Coming sometime, either soon or much later. It’s best not to hold myself to a deadline and rush things!
This is cool!
saw the screenshots on steam :D
@J0S3PHS7AL1N You can scale wheels in Fine Tuner, which allows you to stretch them, in a way. For more context, you can look up something along the lines of “hover wheels” in the website search
I'm.. not entirely sure I understand.
@J0S3PHS7AL1N Honestly depends on what kind of vehicle you are making. If it is a generic hovercraft, then scale some wheels to be almost flat, then attach them to your vehicle.
I haven't found much info on how to make hover vehicles, and the tips that I have found have all been vague or hard to understand. Any chance you could make a post detailing ways to make hovering vehicles?
@spefyjerbf ok
@ZFRFRK I haven't set a timeframe yet. It all depends on when I want to finish it!

How do I do this kind of tech. Is impossible for me.
@spefyjerbf when will it come?
Hiii
@spefyjerbf can you fix your mods pls

@NexusGaming I’m not sure what advice works best, but in my opinion, inspiration is the key. Find some spaceship drawings that you really, really like, and try your hardest to re-create them as an SP model. And, if you begin to deviate from your original design intentions, just go with the flow, and embrace your design differences! My style is the result of numerous failed attempts to re-create the styles that have inspired me.
@CrimsonOnigiri I’m lost on context haha, what did I miss?

@spefyjerbf I would like to learn your building methods, because I am planning to build something very similar to your builds but I don't know how to do it
I now have the big sad...
