The final placement: SH-28 Chimera – 64, (TC) CT, CSSL3-LIF – 60.5, T-34 – 52, G5A-TD35-Zerstorer – 49, AMX – 45.5
SH-28 Chimera: This tank had the best performance of in challenge. However, despite its unique offset turret and secondary turrets as well as accurate size, it had three problems: The main gun calibre was way oversized just for aesthetics, it is much too fast for a tank that would have been overweight and underpowered, and its weight is off by some (my guess) 25 - 35 tonnes. Also, the secondary turrets should have received an auto aim function which would have facilitated control of the tank (whether the secondary guns should target air to air is up for discussion). This tank also has the best aesthetics where attention was paid to small details like hatches and ports.

(TC) CT, CSSL3-LIF: The details on this tank are second to the Chimera – the gun mantlet, secondary guns, and bodywork are good. Honestly, if the gun control had not been so awkward, the recoil was stabilized and if it could shoot on the move as well as have auto aim turrets, it would have beat the Chimera by around one to two points. I recommend that the main gun traverse be tied to VTOL and Trim, and the secondary and side guns have an auto aiming mechanism (this can be easily dug up on various Flak guns, ship guns, and explanatory forums or ask around for the code). I would also recommend the tank to have more attention paid to the weight – extra 45 to 55 tonnes. This tank was the only TD, the only entry with extra HP on parts, and the only entry to have an unaltered and accurate gun diameter, so good job! Also, best description.

T-34-76 (1943): It was quite a close call between your tank and the G5A. You would probably still be in 3rd place if I hadn’t had last minute upheaval in my judging. But I really liked the Russian turret and you always get the dimensions of the tank right. I think you should spend a little more time on the small details and the tracks of your tanks. Another thing to fix is the quite unlimited speed and the upscaling of your gun. And finally, learn all the little titbits of tank making by tearing down other people’s tanks.

G5A-TD35-Zerstorer: It's quite an OK tank but it was not “unmodern” and so I subtracted and arbitrary 5 points. I like the double-barrelled concept as well as the auto aim and suspension on the wheels. On the other hand, the auto aim jams up and the throttle system is weird – not like driving a car, not to mention the fact that it can go ridiculously fast. Also, the reload time for the guns is too fast by about a second. The details are OK, and the ERA is interesting. But the amount of ammunition is just not real. The only tank to have auto aim so makes for easy control on that part. The front is also a little troublesome and ERA break while driving. A tip: study how they make tracks without the Tracks2 mod.

AMX: Good effort especially for the oscillating turret and engine vents. However, though the turret rotation system was interesting, it is quite hard to control. Also, the overall lack on details really pulverized your score. The gun was also oversized to the point it isn’t even aesthetic. And to top it all off, the tank is uncontrollable when moving (besides its over overspeed). But a good try for your second tank (?). Also, I haven’t been able to do a oscillating turret since I began making tanks.

Two chronic problems I would like to point out in this challenge are underweight and overspeed. There are a few ways to fix those. One is to arbitrarily increase the weight to a roughly realistic amount, and another is to slave away and use density and volume to get a real estimate of the tank’s weight. This usually fixes the overspeed and decreasing the engine power should help. In the case of the TC, the engine power needs 50 more HP. Another common problem is that 3 of the entries did not even reach 250 parts. I once had to enter 400 parts but, Man! that was hard.

@Wernster Thank you for your advice I'll do that next time. However, I still recommend more intuitive controls. And as last thing. I'm too young to have a job so lol. I'm not a sir, haha.
Nice! I wasn't expecting 2nd place since the build is quickly outdated by my new standards, even the name I find cringy haha, only TC which means "Tank challenge" is the only one that makes sense.
congratulations to all that participated aswell! You all make good builds. ^^
In the next contest you host, if you do indeed plan to, I recommend asking questions to the builders! To hopefully clear up some things, for example you mentioned that the CTT isn't able to fire/aim on the move but it actually could via holding the pitch up then deactivating the AG, the value will stay the same and results in the vehicle moving on its own, plus look at what platform it is designed on, the controls might be awkward because its specialized for another platform that favours different controls, I'm pretty sure that mobile and PC have different/conflicting control styles. sometimes things seem alot deeper than on the surface, and all of this could be avoided by just asking.
I hope you improve the next time you host a contest. ^^ Have a great day sir!
@TwistedWarshipDude yeah, but I've seen much more impressive track systems using wheels
idk what you are talking about, other contestant also do the same technique as me to make their tracks lol
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
